I've seen it around the site, but I don't know what it means?

Neuro-Typical.
Basically... someone who is not on the Autism Spectrum and is not afflicted by any other neurological disorder.
It refers to a "normal" person.

Many autistic people may have never joined and autism community and therefore may not know other autistic people. I didn't know what an NT was before becoming a member of Wrong Planet.

I learned what NT was very early in the process or learning about AS (in websites, not in books). I think NT (neuro-typical) is used to avoid calling people outside the spectrum "normal", because that would mean people with Autism is not normal.

Hey, 'NT' stands for 'Not Trained'...as in, not trained to flex to variances of human minds and human results. ...Ok, Ok. It stands for neurotypical. LOL

New to this forum, dont know the first step in treating this or getting diagnosed but its been getting progressively worse. I am a Court interpreter and paralegal and just said "defeat" instead of "victory" without realizing it. Accostomed to smoothing things over or shrugging it off when this happens but Im realizing this cant go on.
The Prosecuting Attorney was kind, but what will happen if it is an aggresive attorney next time? Is there effective treatment? Not diagnosed and under a lot of stress so maybe that is the contributor but it is really embarassing when it happens. Luckily I have my covers, I charm, present well and make up for my errors with my courtesy and compassion but I can only do so much. Any pointers, like vitamin suppliments, change in diet etc. would be helpful.

Yeah, I find myself either not saying words that I thought I did, or using a totally inappropriate word. As far as drugs, etc. to help with this, we are all different and something that works for one person may not work for another. I personally don't take any drugs, possibly because I have an aversion to them. I have a couple of beers at night and this seems to take the edge off.

I try not to get annoyed when threads are bumped, but it's such a common but simple question asked on here.

N-T stands for ''neurotypical'', which means ''a generally typical-minded person that does not have any neurological disorders that affect the person's behaviour, thinking, learning, social skills, emotions and other typical factors that are important to humans''.

Obviously people have their own unique personality traits or habits, like some people are more angrier than others, but if it doesn't really affect the general neurological function of the person in any atypical way from their peers then they are basically NT.
