| MidlifeAspie, that'd be all great and good but that place is chaos and the ops don't really do much, if they did, nothing would spill onto here other than the channel is owned by Alex Plank and he rarely ever comes on and says only hi... then gone pretty much or comes on changes around ops, makes people mad than leaves. |

I am not trying to give too much ideas here, but maybe it is here for people to do some venting, which here is a safer place to vent instead of venting in the channel, and giving a open opportunity to get banned

| Meh I did realize this is stupid anyways. People can think what they want about me. People who don't know me and judge me, their opinions are pretty invalid. It doesn't matter. Its just a chat anyways. I don't really care as much anymore that I'm banned because in the end time moves on and I will prob forget why I even cared to begin with. I may even be sending VTisKewl a fruit basket for taking the burden off me of being in there and subjected to horrible treatment from other people. I really don't even need that. I need caring and understanding. I need like minded people who will be loyal and good natured. I don't need cliquey, nasty people in my life who only cause me aggravation and grief. I'm already depressed, bitter and anxious enough in my life, I honestly don't need to have a chat that I intended to help me but winds up causing more of these issues. I am a better person when I am not affected by harmful and toxic influences. I don't need to bother with it. It shouldn't be worth feeling so horrible just because people get a charge off of picking on others and making them feel bad about themselves. |

You're missing the point. The IRC channel is associated with this forum and it's name. The sort of things that go on in that channel are completely against what this site as a whole is here for and gets funding for. This kind of chaos is not tolerated on the forum but is allowed in the channel. Clearly, this needs to be highlighted on the forum so that people know that not everything is so sweet and rosie with WrongPlanet.net. |

The two interesting points in this case are the fact that more than one person used the bot's service for calling ops. As that appeared to not have been effective, a person actually highlighted one of the most prominent ops currently appointed. The op responded, but didn't actually do anything about the situation at hand. Probably didn't even read the chat to see why they were being called. The other point was that the situation was eventually dealt with, seemingly by someone who isn't a current op (as Bot0's capabilities are limited to certain people charged with opping #wp in the past, though I am hearing the access has not yet been forwarded to the newer ops yet.
In short, it seems that the unknown ex-operator controlling the bot on this occasion was far more concerned with keeping the channel moderated than the appointed operator who was summoned. It would make a lot of sense if the current op was away, but if they were indeed away, they would not have responded to being highlighted.

I really think that things are looking a lot better. It looks like we are again heading in the right direction now. Yes I have to thiank allie for helping us out. I really am happy at least we ended up getting a few of the good ops back. Again i have some confidence we will be getting some good ops for sure. I also have to thank the ops for returning now.

Not really Kate. To be honest Corin being in charge of #wrongplanet is not exactly much better than who was in charge before. In fact I think its much worse. Though everyone seems to love Corin so it really doesn't matter what I think. Hence why I won't go to the chat until Corin either decides to step down again or is removed. |

I have to say I'm unimpressed by events today. WardenWolf comes back, somehow obtains flags again, and instantly performs a drive-by shooting, thus throwing a (up until now) calm and peaceful channel into turmoil. His only 'reason' was that Corin opped a few others..... which is false.
So now we have a channel full of people wondering why some new ops were deopped by someone who quit opping over a month ago, with an excuse that was based on a total lie. It may be entertaining for some people, but there's a few of us who actually have to clean up this mess, rather than causing grief and disappearing into the sunset. Most of us have our hands tied on this matter, because WardenWolf not only somehow got ops, he also got a senior op position, meaning nobody but Alex can save the channel.

| Vtiskewl is the only op I ever liked. Me and him are good friends. It's sad he decided to give up his ops due to personal reasons. But to call him bad is unfair. Just because he didn't take your side doesn't make him bad. I used to like corin until a week or so ago. Then I lost respect for him. |

I give up all together, and after seeig what goes on in #wrongplanet , and how corrupt it had become, i finally left #wrongplanet for now.. I can not take it anymore. Maybe you people can tell me when it is over. I know i can not take it no more. I tried to help #wrongplaet , but i have given up even going there. The odds of me going back to #wrongplanet with it being so corrupt, is very sliim , it is like when hell freezes over then i will join. I have other better places. Yes the channel #wrongplanet is hijacked again, according to my opinion, I just gave up.

I give up now, i am not coming back to #wrongplanet. Now i am finding that all the #wrongplanet if corrupt and it is hijacked again. I give up totally, i have a different and better place to go. I have spent many years in #wrongplanet, and now that #wrongplanet is like it is, i dont plan on coming back. It will be in a day of hell beofre i do come back, I am not going to go and even look at weongplanet, i rather be at a place that understands autism better.

It is not spam, it is a new resource for people, and if one gets so tired of the same wrongplanet, then they do have the right to go elsewhere. For some people it is a good environment, and providing the others with that good environment, is not spam. Finally there is a place for the autistics to go to, and it is about time. Yes one can be in both rooms. #aspietalk is not spam at all.
It is suppose to be a place of support wrongplanet, and i am no longer finding supporting people in the chat room. The environmet is not friendly like it once was. The people in wrongplanet gets pretty ugly at times. Just look at the logs, it is proof, and we even have some ops out there picking on the users. I dont find the place friendly when i get this.

well people like corin and they think that is a good op. If a good op treats people like sh**, and bullies others, it is fine. So yes that stuff does not need to be in the opping. I am finding #aspietalk to be a more warm and a more friendly environment. I dont have much to say.
Yes if people think that kind of behavior of a op in wrongplanet is tolerable then they are mistaken; I dont get that in #aspietalk, so to me that channel is much better then wrongplanet

I do see it with what it is. Things have gotten worse in wrongplanet, and it has not gotten better. There was a time when #wrongplanet was my favoirte channel, but not any more. There is too much drama for me in wrongplanet there. That is there to begin with. I really dont feel very comfortable like i use to be in wrongplanet anymore. I hate to also put it like this, there are people that think too highly of themselves and they think that their sh*t does not stink when they take a dump. I will put it that way, but i refuse to mention any names here. You got ops that are picking on the innocent people. I have been saying less at wrongplanet then what i use to say. I really dont want to complain, i really even hate doing so.
Okay now with the situation with storms chat room, there has been a recent ban on mortomes, and all he did to storms on the channel was say hi to her. It was then that storms opped up and banned mortomes. I have to say that storms did not even give the chance to see how mortomes was going to act in her channel to her. I really would have appreciated if storms would have given mortomes a chace to finally be nice and kind to her. You do realize as far as opping goes, i was trained to not remove a person, unless they are acting up and causing problems. Now mortomes was not being mean in there at all. So since i have a disagreement on how the situation was handled, and not even giving him the chance to act nice in her channel, i have left from her channel, i am sorry but i can not take it but so much really, and i disagreed with the ban of mortomes and it bothered me he was not even given the chance to be nice.
Yes again i have to say wrongplanet is heading towards the worse and not better now. I think it would be nice if the people the regulars were treated more fairly as if they were cared about. Oh well there is nothing i can possibly do any more. The situation got out of hand.
Yes also the question of why can it not be discussed inside the channel? It is because you can not discuss things like that in the channel. If you do you do actually risk the possibility of being banned. I dont like it, i dont like that people are allowed to pick on other people in #wrongplanet and get away with it. Yes there is times that i have seen ops picking on other people, and that really does not need to go into opping, if one is really seriously a good op. Well anyway i have said enough.
