I've traced my tree family back to the mid 1600's, near Stavanger on the island of Karmøy (according to the Bygdeboks, Skudnes, was the name of the fylkke before something changed). I've been trying to learn Norwegian thru some of the various people who are teaching it via You Tube videos, which is why I popped in to this forum. |
Karmøy is in Rogaland county (fylke)  |
