I'm a 14-year-old High-Functioning-Autistic girl. I flap my hands sometimes. When excited. When I flap, I also stand on my toes the same time. It can happen when I am with a friend and I get overactive. I feel so good when I flap my hands and stand on my toes Very Happy Anyone else teen feeling the same way?

I'm 17, and I still flap my hands. I also tend to walk on my toes when I'm happy.

I'm 29 and I hand flap when I'm really overstimulated, though usually in privacy.

I'm 18 and flap especially my right hand in private when (very?) stressed. I have loose joints so I don't like the feeling of excessive flapping. I rather put my hand as if I was grabbing something and then shake/roll it very fast from side to side (movement reminds opening a jar). That way the hand's "orbit" is a circle and doesn't feel nasty in the wrist.

I'm 18 and I sort of hand flap - the stim I've had since age five is moving my fingers really rapidly, often on my face. I do it discreetly or in private though, so it's not ever noticed anymore. But i do it extremely often when I'm obsessing over something or freaking out.

Yeah, you're right! Feels like you're on top of the world Laughing Today at school, I stood very high on my toes, and my classmate asked me "Why are you standing on your toes?". But she wasn't rude, she just wondered. And I replied "I don't know..." But really, I do know. It just came out of my mouth like that

Sometimes I tend to twirl things into the air when I am laying down, or when I am at school sitting in class, I pretend that my eraser is a finger skateboard.

26 and still handflapping occasionally. And I find myself doing that thing with my arm where it locks itself in a L shape with my hand hanging down. Smile

Im 13, havent been diagnosed with anything, but i hand flap when i get really excited. It usually happens when i play video games. I try to keep from doing it, especially when i have friends over, but i cant really help it. Also, whenever im listening to music and doing my homework ill daydream and before i realize it ill be pacing and jumping up and down in my living room. Should i talk to my mom or dad?

I'm in my mid-twenties and when i get really excited I still flap my hands. I stand on my toes when I get very excited or stressed. I have learned to control it in some situations, but at home I just let it be. It works out ok. My close family doesn't seem to care. Yes, it makes me feel good. It also helps me realize a bit of the emotion inside me.

I'm 18, and I flap my arms when I'm excited. I stand or walk on my toes, too. Kinda feels like I'm flying or something.c:
