What were your favourite albums when you were 13?
The ones you played over and over and over again until your parents went insane.
Be honest! Share your awesome taste/deepest shame with the world.
Mine included:
(in descending order of obsession)
Hunting High and Low - a-ha
Scoundrel Days - a-ha
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme - Simon and Garfunkel
The Final - Wham
True Blue - Madonna
Thriller - Michael Jackson
Silk and Steel - Five Star
Singles - The Police
Dare - Human League
Plus various film soundtracks, mostly cheesy ones, and Now compilations. And mix tapes of the top 40 religiously recorded every week. |

Ray of Light by Madonna
The Globe Sessions by Sheryl Crow - My Favorite Mistake is prob. one of my favorite songs ever
All Saints by All Saints. I can only remember one song from them
Christina Aguilera's album through repeated forced listening
The Writing's on the Wall by Destiny's Child (Say My Name is also one one of my all-time favorite songs)
Mirrorball by Sarah Machlachlan
Never Say Never by Brandy, after whom I named my parakeet <-- The Boy is Mine
Overall a kind of embarrassing and very estrogeny list. |

This is the song! But the lyrics didn't involve mining. |

Supertramp- Breakfast in America
Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Meddle
Fleetwood Mac-Rumors
Alice Cooper- From the Inside
Jesus Christ Superstar (Movie and Broadway Version)
The Beatles- Let it Be
Lots of others, too. I've always been into music. I have a brother who's 8 years older than I am, and music was always a way he could connect with me. I know his tastes influenced mine- I listened to his albums before I had my own. _________________ "Meddle not in the affairs of dragons; for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup." |
