I don't like free PvP games. I hated Eve online for it. I like MMOs for the grouping aspect. I loved raiding in WoW. I love the feeling of doing my part, being part of a group. I can concentrate 100% too. I used to play a balance warlock, then a balance drood for BC. Only problem I have with WoW and the reason I quit was they made it too simple. The raids aren't that interesting, it was the intense concentration I liked and the feeling of teamwork. When they made it so you could mash buttons and still do decent (ie WotLK) I quit.
I tried a lot of free MMOs and they are mostly boring grinds. I'm waiting for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Made by Bioware, seems promising to be RPG like, MMORPG rather than MMOG. |

I've been pked many times in my UO career. Ever since the game came out in 1997 and costed 10$ a month. Until now, on player-run servers.
Murderers are just a part of Ultima Online. Try finding a guild to join, go on hunts and such.
PoV is a good guild to join. You just need to hang around and learn from the game and people, they will help you learn the ropes.
Trust me, with time you'll learn to survive and will be more able to because you'll have 100 HP, being in a dangerous world is what makes it exciting also = )
It isn't a carebear game like WOW where everything is given to you on a silver platter. Unlike WOW, 5 year olds can't play and be the best on UO.
There are plenty of monster spawns around the world, you need to train some stuff up first. Like your str(hp) and dex(stamina) so you can survive more.

I am all for this. I would whole heartedly suggest DDO, since its one of my favs (played before f2p) except I am on linux and linux, though it can run some games, seems to have something against DDO.
However, I may possibly consider WoW again. I have an 80 in mainly t8.5-t9. Hes a pally on horde though, seems people on here play ally.
I will offer this though:
If we get a WP gaming guild together, I will be up for paying for a Ventrilo server for us.
The only other games I can think of are:
Vendetta:Online (spaced based 3d combat/trading mmo. Think EVE, but not as boring with more things going boom)
or
Guild Wars which is a one time fee, and GW2 is not out till 2k11 so it's safe for now  . I have an account there.
To be honest I would prefer WoW as a choice. As Stated, vent's on me (up to 20 slot depending, if we grow and need more people will have to chip in) |

| I'm very flexible with Horde or Alliance, but do tend to side with the Alliance more due to I enjoy their lore a bit more even the "Holy wind chime worshiping Space-Goats" I love the story of Nobundo the most the story unbroken. I'm mainly a Deathknight tank or Shaman nuker. |

I really dislike ally. From my experience many of the more immature players pick it. Not saying Horde is much better though >.>
The reason is because when you first load the game and pick a server, be default it's "Human Male Warrior". Ya...
Plus I would have to faction and server change for that >.>
Although if we did have a WoW group we could all pick a new server and start from scratch? |

it would be really neat to have a guild in PWI for those who are ASpies, or other PWDs (i have PTSD, depression, as well as physical disabilties). a guild ingame, where we would be able to know and understand what makes each other click, and understand and support one another on bad days in the game. to help with tough quests that take a full squad, where higher level players wouldnt mind helping those who are lower level..
but this, itself, is likely a fantasy. i've played PWI since nearly its beginning. and in the beginning, it was a really good game, with great GM support, who didnt hesitate to swing the banhammer on players who caused trouble. now? God help players who are on PVP servers...it must be misry there. i play on HeavensTear server, which is PVE, so im safe from idiots who want to run up a PK score. i kind of roleplay my character, who is a 'venomancer'-the proper name would be a 'kitsune',which is a japanese/chinese legendary creature, a fox who can shapechange. so you have a woman you can customise the appearance of, who, soon after starting playing, will have the skill of shapechanging into a fox. you can catch pets which help you in quests, or just let run along after you.
there are also many 'private' servers- technically illegal, which are in many ways much easier to play than the official game....its taken me 3 years to get up into the level 80s there.... but in the private servers, they make the game much simpler. but the drawbacks are that there usually is no GM to supervise or ask questions of-you have to hope that other players will help. and player turnover is *really* fast....you make friends with someone, and a few weeks or months later, they have topped out the game, and moved out to some other game. i dont do that, personally, but it has to do with how i roleplay.

I got sick of 9Dragons long ago, but at least their players are nicer than Jade Dynasty. I got hooked on "City of Villains" which will soon have a free to play version

I may be interested in a GW2 guild if we can play on English servers whatever the version. But I won't be really active on English servers, I've already a guild on the French servers. :>

I just don't know what to do! On CoH, it is NOT just my lousy playing! It is my interactions w/ other ppl! Ppl get turned off by what I say in chat! I need ppl that will be more forgiving & tolerant of my differences that can play the game w/ me, you know????? I am frustrated! I've nowhere to turn!
