And? Is class a prerequisite for participation in political debate in the United States? (Well, what passes for it anyways...)

.

Not at all. Look at Rush Limbaugh for Heaven's sake. We simply use the word "classless" against our opponents. Not that it really has any meaning.

My concern about Rick Santorum is that not only will he not legalize abortion, same-sex marriage, and medical marijuana, but he will reinstate the sodomy laws.

I'm sure that's why he did as well as he did.

My dad met him in law school in the 80's. Said he was very conservative and phoney. I suggested that he wasn't phoney because his idiocy was sincere. My dad agreed.

so what do they do? they go and bully santorum.

hypocrisy.

Santorum is not just a racist, homophobe bigot who paints black people as welfare recipients and equates homosexuality with bestiality, he also thinks that rape pregnancy is a gift from his god:

Wikipedia article on Rick Santorum wrote:
Santorum has stated that he does not believe a "right to privacy" is part of the Constitution; he has been critical of the Supreme Court decision in Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), which held that the Constitution guaranteed that right and overturned a law prohibiting the sale and use of contraceptives to married couples.[134] He has described contraception as "a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be,"[8] and stated in 2003 that laws should exist against polygamy, adultery, sodomy, and other actions "antithetical to a healthy, stable, traditional family".[135]

Somehow, the bad lip reading came across as saner than the crap he's been spewing.

Either would be better than frothy. And of the two, Obama is the better.

Obama is practically Bush v2 and is a conservatives wet dream. Backs down anytime even if there is a hint of opposition and is blamed when anything goes wrong so we can get a slightly more conservative version of him.

Then I guess we'll cancel each other out.
In case he wins, I hope you can live with an America without birth control, and where the moral tone of the nation is set by fundamentalist Catholicism.
