It would be nice again to have a female friend who isn't touchy feely, doesn't get offended easily, hates talking on the phone, will make weird alien noises and flap/bounce with me when we're excited, likes art and philosophy and classic movies..likes animals of all types..is generally a geek/nerd...etc...
My best friend in high school was most likely aspergian, but she no longer will speak to me...I think she loved me more than a friend and I hurt her by starting to date men at college?

| I just joined wp, and was so happy that this was one of the first threads I found. I am a female aspie/nerd/awkward/geek in Michigan. I am looking for female aspie friends, too (all the other aspies I know personally are male). I'm so glad I found this thread! |

I'm not in Michigan. I'm in Florida. I really live in Pennsylvania.
But the rest of the stuff fits.
Except that I actually like the telephone. It's my link to the outside world. Talk to far-off friends, sans nonverbals. So nice.
I'd like to talk to some more AS chicks, too. A minority within a minority.

| I would have loved to have known you when I was living in Detroit! I absolutely hate talking on phones & I'm into all things art related. Now I live in Honolulu, and I'm incredibly lonely. Not only do I not fit in with all the NTs and their customs of wanting to shake my hand and such, but I'm also experiencing culture shock. |

I am female and from Michigan. Though...I am transgender, but not transitioning...yet anyways. I know how you feel I have lost MANY friends since high school and the one I did keep, it is a strained relationship to failing at the moment. She was in love with me for the longest time, but I just wasn't into women. I HATE the phone. I prefer txting, email, etc. I am fairly a geek/nerd. I LOVE movies, music, sci-fi, games. BIG Stargate, Star War, Star Trek fan. Love quantum mechanics/theory. Just can't do the math and it has to be dumb'd down a bit, but it is interesting. Love Big Bang Theory. Not sure about getting offended easily? I don't take to criticism very well tho? Art and Philosophy are mild interests to me. I prefer the darker side of the force. Things relating to goth, emo, vampire, supernatural, etc.
