| The longest I've gone without washing myself or my clothes was about 3 months, but that was in conscripted army so I don't think that counts;-P (well, served them right!!) |

it never was before, but since my anxiety spike and pretty recent depression, it has become really hard to make myself want to do it. which is weird because i used to HAVE to do it or i felt awful. well, it still feels awful, i just dont care/can't be bothered some days.
clothes can be reworn, i think. as long as they are not underwear. jeans, teeshirts, and definitely hoodies. _________________ I think I know. I don't think I know. I don't think I think I know. I don't think I think. |

I have trouble with new things until I get used to them. I want someone else to use it first before I do. I should see if I can get my mother or neighbor to try running a cup of bleach through it. My friend's mother does that whenever she does laundry because she has some really nasty people in her apartment building.
The apartment was advertised as having a washer and a dryer although I did later find out they were not supplied by the landlord. A previous tenant left them when they moved.
I do have a laundromat about 4 houses away from me which is nice. In my old place it was at least 3 blocks away. |
If it's dirty then just run a load without any clothes in it. Put a cup of washing powder and a cup of bleach in it and let it run. That will clean it.
As I said, if you send me a picture of the dials I can tell you which ones to use.
I have trouble with some new things too. I hate using anything new on a computer and usually can't do it. I also hate learning a new remote control or any kind of device. I just have a block about that it seems. So, I feel ya about the washer.
If you experiment with it, you honestly can't tear anything up, if that's what you are worried about.
I also have a laundry system that works for me if you want me to tell it to you. It helps with maintenance and also with getting a huge load done. _________________ Frances

I change clothes about 3x a day. I can't stand to put something back on that I've already worn. Unless I'm just going to work outside in the garden then I will wear my dirty gardening clothes again. I shower at least twice a day. If I put dirty clothes back on after I shower it feels like it defeats the purpose of showering.
The only things I will wear more than once, are cardigans or vests that I wear over other layers of clothes. Only because those are not in as much contact with my skin. I don't like to them back up in the closet though after I've worn them. I don't want my worn clothes to touch my clean clothes.
As for washing clothes, or bedding, I tend to let the dirty stuff pile up for weeks before I do the laundry. _________________ ADHD, inattentive type, not sure if I have AS |

| I take care of hygiene as I see fit, usually daily. Sometimes I'll skip a day for showering. But when I do clean myself, I'm meticulous about it. I enjoy feeling fresh. |
