| I don't really have an internal monologue. Although I occasionally visualize things that are far too funny. |

| Ah well. I kind of memorize my own internal conversations, I know some things that make me laugh which no one else knows about. |

Actually, often times, I have two voices in my mind. Both of them are still me, but they often provide different perspectives to a situation or talk to each other.
Occasionally, one of them acts as my conscience for doing the right thing.
Sometimes they just root each other on. For example, one voice says, "That's cool!" and the other says, "You know it!"
Yeah, weird, isn't it?
On the subject of internal monologues: I'm sure lots of people have them. What separates some people from others is how much they think about things. Some people just blabber non-stop all day and never give themselves a chance to think. In one sense, I think it's related to introvertedness.
Often times, people overthink things and start to have all sorts of negative thoughts or feelings. In the end, they're probably wrong to have these thoughts. In the case of OCD, people have something that, if they think about it, it gives them extreme anxiety, and causes them to become obsessed.
Another bizarre thing is when someone thinks having negative or violent thoughts means there's something wrong with them, and also gets anxiety.
So, a good tip is to try your best to have positive thoughts, because negative/pessimistic thoughts can make you depressed. _________________ Like a crow, I am always observing humans from my distant perch. |

That's what my brain was like as a child. It passed, and I never told anyone I had it in the first place. People might think one is 'wired' one way or the other for life, but I disagree with that. |

I narrate my experiences in my head, like the way a narrator would if my life was a book or a movie. I started doing that when I was around 7-8 years old. I don't do it as consistently as I used to back then, but I still catch myself doing it. _________________ ADHD, inattentive type, not sure if I have AS |

I have conversations with myself in my head all the time. When no one's around, I have them out loud, in a whisper, even. I used to think I was hearing voices, but really it's just rationalizing with myself what's going on, most of the time. I was wondering if this was an Aspie thing. _________________ "No, I wasn't built that way, I was strong and desperately brave."

Conversations with myself have been a huge factor in my learning of proper debate techniques. Sometimes, I call B.S on myself!
And sometimes I win an argument with myself. I think it's good practice for when you speak with other folks. They just can't jedi trick you if you've been trying to BS yourself all day and won! |

I can start up a few voices in my head if I want.. two or three it seems like. They are all in 'my' voice, unless I do accents.. Sometimes they (we) argue with each other. More often we offer ourselves different advice. Some of the advice is quite horrible, but I've learned to ignore it once offered. I'd rather consider as many possibilities as possible initially, even if some of them are repulsive. I don't get offended by myself anymore
I don't recall having this until recently. Perhaps I've learned more about myself and so I can better identify these differing desires. Perhaps it has something to do with the various external substances I've consumed. Perhaps both all three times seventy-two.
At any rate I think it's fun. |

As far as private jokes, yes, they must be, because no one seems to enjoy them. I do use English.. They are basically puns and repeating the same word in a 'wacky' way, mostly to divert my mind from a pointless subject, and plays on words and la la la.
I've tried to prevent me from constantly talking internally but I don't think I can. Maybe I can do it for a few seconds. Then too I've never especially tried. I get bored quickly |
