|
It's the first of 3 friday the 13th's this year.
I happen to like the number 13 myself. Maybe it's because my birthday is April 13th, which will also be on a friday this year. the 3rd one will be in July.
13 is a nice prime number, I like prime numbers.
So, is anyone superstitious and actually believe friday the 13th is somehow unlucky?
I don't believe friday the 13th is be either lucky or unlucky. Friday the 13th is just a day to point out how silly superstition really is.
What are your thoughts on Friday the 13th, the number 13, or any other superstition? _________________ Your Aspie score: 172 of 200

I too like the number 13. I also like symmetrical numbers (or that seem so to me) like 3 or 7.
Nothing bad is going to happen because of the number itself, but people's superstitions may well mean some bad things happen because they are distracted by it.
Self fulfilling prophecy, or something along those lines. The Friday actually does that all by itself because people's minds are on the weekend and not on their work. _________________ I have traveled extensively in Concord (Thoreau) |

Oh full moons are more chaotic for me than anything, Friday the 13th... Usually not too too bad if I remember correctly. _________________ All fantasy should have a solid base in reality. |

I'm about as scientific-minded and non-superstitious as a person can be... But with that said, somehow IF there's going to be something to go wrong, it seems to come up on Friday the 13th. Several bad things have taken place for me on Fridays the 13th, including the death of my mother, a very bad and unexpected outcome in a court case for me in 1990, plus various injuries from miscellaneous causes, a car accident, a car fire (unrelated to accident), and the death of a dog, and other stuff I can't think of.
Despite the above, I have no plans to change my daily plans in any way today (nor any other Friday the 13th).
