It depends on a couple of factors.
Is the basketball moving or at rest, and what's my range to the basketball. Also, with what kind of firearm?

Hurray for aspie-sarcasm!

I can get hoops about 50% the time - when I'm closer to the hoop than the free-throw line. If I'm at the line, and I'm lucky, then I might be able to keep 40-ish%.

I used to could make 90 percent shots from anywhere. Not sure why-I'm really short. Now I'm old and lucky for a layup.

I would rate myself at 50-50. We played basketball in elementary school PE class, but my physical agility is mugh better now.

My rating on NBA Jam (the 1995 edition for the Super NES) is 99%.

I'm great by myself, but I can't keep track of the ball and another player at the same time. Never been any good at ball games for that reason.

I can't shoot worth a damn.

I can play some really good defense though, although I'm more used to football.

Well, I'm no professional, but I think I could do a good job, as long as I have the right camera, lighting, and some good makeup people.

You know, I was going to post something along the lines of "Depends... am I using a pistol or a rifle?". But your answer is funnier.

Thanks, but diseased already used that reference, so I had to take a different route.

I have heard of someplace in the States that has a pumkin shooting competition (using custom guns/cannons that fire whole pumkins as the projectile). That would be the thing to use.
