This is directed at such things as precisely placed brush strokes on a canvas that make excellent random number seeds and heaps of purportedly carefully selected items from junkyards that accidentally get disposed by janitors.

The poll is unanswerable: modern art from which artist?
It's quite unfair to lump it all under one generality and rather like summarizing the entire history of architecture as "fun with bricks". 
I'd also be (mildly) interested to know how precisely placed brush strokes on a canvas would make excellent, and practical, random number seeds.
There are surely less cumbersome methods...
