Hi!

Today I was participating in a conference in Århus (Aarhus) made for - especially - aspies...

I also heard Alex Plank's presentations where he e.g. told about this own life and reason for starting wrongplanet.net. Very interesting and good answers to the questions from audience!

Maybe some other danes see this and want to give a few comments also about their experience today 04-02-12. So here is the thread for that...

I also hope, in future, that we can share each other life experiences - also across countries...

stepping towards disclosure. Working on my blog as mentioned.
"Yes, 99.9 percent of those of you who are self-diagnosed are usually right. When something hits you like a ton of bricks as you read about AS and you internally shout ‘That’s it” – then you’re usually on the right track."
["Asperger's from the Inside out" by Michael John Carley, Perigee's books 2008]

That’s the most important part – the internal that’s it!

I was there... And I really enjoyed it... Smile Mostly because I've never been to an AS conference before and I was positively surprised that the atmosphere was so calm... It was fascinating to hear Alex's presentations and it made me truly feel like I wasn't alone in my situation with AS...

I'm really looking forward to hearing Alex again and hopefully it will be before next years conference if it comes again... xD

I was there. I'd never been to an autism conference either, and I can honestly say it was a bit of an eye-opener. Never seen so many clumsy people gathered in one place. XD I had such a nice time and I really hope it will turn into an annual thing.

Maybe I just wasn't paying attention but I didn't see that many clumsy people? But yeah, I hope too it will become an annual event... And of course with Alex there as well... Wink And I would love to hear more from Christian as well if you remember him?

I was there too, it was really cool and very interesting.

Some of us ended up at "Hollywood" (a café in Århus) and had dinner.

4 of us (including Hanna) bought some soda pops, beer, chips or what we liked, and went with Alex to his hotel room, had a great time, watched a movie on TV and had a real aspie party. Very Happy
