Hey, I'm currently reading the first book. I think I'll go see the movie when it comes out.

I'mma simply say this. I've read the entire Hunger Games series and have to say that it's the best thing, hands down, that I've read so far. The emotion and the unexpected turns constantly throughout the book trilogy. I hope the movie is as good as the book series.

Yes!
When I first saw that there was going to be a movie, I was all like, "Yeah, right. It'd probably suck." Then, the model was cast. Immediate facepalm. Then, I saw that the costumes and makeup were in the hands of Ve Neil (Beetlejuice) and Glen Hetrick (Lady Gaga's costume designer). I was a little more curious, then I saw the stills. Definitely going.

It is a really good series, now It can't stack up to ender's game but it is still really good. Only thing that irrates me about the trailers is that the 2 male characters should be switched, body wise.

I don't know. Gale is supposed to be kind of husky, and Peeta has a Josh Hutcherson-like physique.

Peeta is known in the books for being strong, so they have a guy who is kinda scrawny playing as him?

It never says that Peeta looks strong, now did it? I know an NT girl who looks like a 98 pound weakling and she's amazingly strong.

I never finished the first book. Got kind of bored with one part and then lacked the motivation to get through it. Also distracted by other books.

Good to hear all your thoughts however, I'm well into Lady Gaga and the costumes should all be good, I think Peeta is quite a solid build, Gale is more lean and feral looking.

I think Katniss was well cast, I thought of her as pretty but very tough, the only things I think was wrong was They should have cast Hugh Laurie as Haymitch and kept Madge in the Film because she was the reason for the whole Storyline e.g the Mockingjay Pin.

I agreed with Simmian 7, it is like Battle Royale, only with a better storyline and better characters.

Hope to hear from you all.

Robert Downey, Jr. would be the better Haymitch. I can see him passing out onstage.

I love that song! I play it over and over and over until I stop listening but I keep it playing in the background. I go through phase like that, I really only have like three songs at any given time that I like enough to listen to and I'll listen to it for hours on repeat.

Oh.... And I think Johnny Depp should have been Haymitch. Wink
