What do you think of the party lifestyle that teenagers often enjoy? Me? I just enjoy it; it's not because I don't enjoy socializing, it's because I don't enjoyment what teenagers often do at high school parties.

What I mean by "party lifestyle" is not enjoying going to a party every now and again to hang out with your friends and have fun. What I mean is going to a party almost every weekend and going crazy (destroying the house, drinking too much, etc.)

That's what I don't like at parties. I have never been invited to a high school party, but I don't like the idea of it. I don't think I would like going on and getting drunk much. It's also not a good idea as it is prohibited by both the law and my parents.

I have never been invited to a high school party, but I don't know what I would if I was. I am not allowed to go parties without adult supervision so I would probably ask something like "Will there be an adult there?" and if they say "no", I would just say "Oh, you know what, I'd love to go, but I am allowed to go to parties if there aren't going to be any adults around". If they said "yes"...........I'd have to think of something.

Do you enjoy this lifestyle, because I don't even understand it.

I'm not really invited to parties, but sometimes I'm really happy and listening to music and think how great it'd be to dance with people.

I would like to go to a party to see what it's like. When I go to Uni I hope to go clubbing/partying etc.

I also think it'd be fun to be drunk, get high, smoke etc. I've gotten high before and it was okay but the drugs weren't very good.

I think it's a good opportunity to make friends etc. even though I've never been to one.

I like to go to parties such as school dances. I always get together with a group of friends and go to the dance. I just see parties as another fun time to hang out with my friends. I could never go to a huge party without knowing anyone. As long as I have friends with me I'm happy at any type of get together. I don't go to parties often but I've gone to a few dances. homecoming parties, and movie parties. I've even hosted a few myself.

I'm not interested in the whole idea of going to parties just for the sake of getting wasted. People only end up doing stupid things and can't even remember what happened at the party because they were under the influence. I like smaller scale parties because they are more relaxed and memorable.

I don't go to parties, as much I'd love that, because the people who invite me are the exact people my mom bans me from. When I was in middle school, I was always at the school dances unless I was grounded. I would have so much fun ther, but then go home and say it was lame just because everyone else did. Nowadays, a party meanss going into someone's basement to play beer pong, smoke a couple joints, and even hook up. I wouldn't be doing any of that, but that doesn't mean I still wouldn't be able to have a good time. Hmmm now that I think about it, another reason why I'm never at parties is because I'm a "little goody two shoes." Rolling Eyes

Depends on the crowd. I've gone to parties and had a great time (all nighters spent playing air soft in the dark, watching Futurama, and drinking Dr. Pepper are the best minus the incredible migraine and rotted teeth suffered the next morning). Other parties, I've totally shut down at.

Often at my school, kids will bring alcohol to the dances (they are not allowed to), which makes me feel uncomfortable going to them, plus, most of my friends don't go to my school. The ones that do are generally not as close to me as the ones that don't, and even so, they don't go to the dances. Not knowing anyone would make me feel uncomfortable at dances as well. I am allowed to dances since some there is staff there, I just choose not to.

Nah, I've had too many bad experiences with alcohol and drugs.

There was only 12 other students in my class in high school so we usually went out drinking and partying every weekend. Every kid in my class would be there along with a few from the classes above and below us.

Im not supporting underage drinking, but those parties in high school were so much better then these college ones. If you guys get invited to a high school party, go to it! Very Happy

At first i hated parties, but then i discovered alcohol. Honestly, it makes socialising much easier and even fun sometimes (Well, it makes almost anything fun. Except the morning after. That's when you hate youself).
I know it sucks, but if i know there will be lots of obnoxious drunk people dancing and pushing each other, i'd rather be one of the obnoxious drunks too.

I learned two things about parties... make sure u have an NT wingman to bring u around to all the ladies and they do the introductions (I think introducing myself is the most awkward thing in the world)... Number 2... If you like to drink or rec drugs... then do so... if not u dont... just be cool with whatever ur doing... I've had a few blackout drunk walks/rides home and they strait up suck... Also don't smoke so much buddah that you are incapable of movement... Once I legit smoked myself to a point where I just passed out on the steps... Most important is just to have fun and explore the NT society...

I don't dislike parties because I'm shy, I dislike them because of the drinking.

i LOVE alcohol, im one of those people who are cooler drunk, i NEVER get violent drunk(i don't understand how people can, honestly im HELLA passive after i get a few shots of Jack in me, im hella touchy feely with my female friends but im even less violent than i normally am and im a pacifist) i also learned i never get hangovers and i always feel amazing the morning after drinking, a plus if i wake up cuddling with a random girl. i don't like partying much, unless i go with the Bros then thats a different story. my Bro Victor spends every weekend partying, he once got hella drunk and wound up in a gay bar dancing with a tranny haha i much prefer kickbacks, just get with 5-12 friends and smoke some Blue Cheese(BlueBerry and Big Buddah Chees hybrid, its a common strain in my town, it has a very unique smell and tastes amazing) and have a couple shots of Jack and stay up all night talking about Philosophy, Religion, Politics, Science, etc thats what we loved talking about. last year in my old town me and my buddies would snort Vyvanse( very powerful ADHD medication) and we would stay up for days. i miss the days when me, Lexi, Lanette, and Tony would get high for days and days, man those were the good days of my youth, i have yet to meet anyone in my new town that are as cool as my old friends. course me and my friends are Extreme Conservatives, most the people in my new town are Liberals and Moderates so im not surprised

What if someone has a low tolerance/bad reaction to alcohol? Or is underage and doesn't want to get into trouble? (this IS the adolescent forum) Should they be forced to drink at a party?

i just turned 18 3 months ago Friday, my first time getting drunk was when i was 17, you should never be forced to do anything you don't want to do, as an Extreme Conservative i value freedom, liberty, and personal choice as much as i support Life Extension, Molecular Nanotechnology, and other Transhumanist motifs.
