First off, This is my first post here, so hi. I have never been diagnosed with aspergers or any other form of autism, and I'm not even sure if I think I have it, but I guess I have some traits that would perhaps qualify me for it, although I'm basing that on what could in reality be some overly rudimentary checklists of symptoms.If someone could point me into the right direction on some more in depth reading about AS I woukd apprecieate it.
Notwithstanding, I was diagnosed with OCD about 7 years ago, and I have gone through many painful years with that, thankfully it has subsided a great deal, however I do suffer from occasional reccurances of it.Aside from that, I believe that I am afflicted with general anxiety disorder and chronic depression, both of which have got me in their grips pretty badly right now.
Anyways, Just thought I would Introduce myself. |

Hi, welcome to WP
I just figured out yesterday that I'm an aspie, and this was after multiple years of not knowing for sure. I was sort of diagnosed with OCD in college, and suspected I might have ADHD too. The information I found online using the trusty google machine was useful, but in the end it was really a combination of things, like realizing that I am socially attracted to and tend to attract aspies, my past strong obsessions, my realization of all the subtle bullying behavior I've endured all my life, etc. I was looking at this linkyesterday, found it particularly informative, hope it helps some. |
