Hi everyone,
I'm Lyll,. I discovered I might be Aspie while watching the Temple Grandin film. The similarities between her character and mine sort of made me wonder.
AQ test results 38
Rdos results 160 of 200 and 94 of 200
That really helped me (and my partner) understand many things. Kind of a great relief.
Unfortunately, living in France, I am quite hesitant to have the official diagnosis.
I'm happy I found the site, I gathered some very helpful information already.

Welcome to WP, Lyll! Hope you like it on WP! I do! I also agree with MusicIsLife2Me, that music washes away the dust of life from the soul. One of my music favorites is the music from Henry V. My sister had both the CD and a cassette of it, and gave me the cassette. By the time I wore it out, she had gotten tired of the music, and gave me the CD.
Here at WP there are a number of different forums for different topic categories, so you should have no trouble finding answers to most of the questions you run into in life. They also provide articles, chat, a dating site, blogs, a Wiki, books, and Autism TV, so there is a lot to do here.
Mostly I just read and post on the forums. I think you will like WP, and again, WELCOME!

Hi Lyll, welcome to WP
I saw Temple Grandin movie too, and always though ti'd be nice to be as successful of an aspie as Temple Grandin is, though she's obviously a rare, extreme case.
Absolutely. She is an amazing individual. I cannot thank her enough for 'enlightening me'. What she has given by explaining autism from inside is such a gift.
The way she sees things in the film really spoke to me. Some of the things that caused anxiety as well. So I decided to research the web about her and I found Alex's documentary which eventually led me to the site, the tests, the information and then wow...I finally understood why I act like I do. As I said above, it was a relief. I am now in the process of reviewing my whole life, replaying it bit by bit with 'understanding' and explanations. It feels sooo good.
