I was obsessed with ducks for four years.

And I had a brief spell of being obsessed on how a toaster worked. I can now tell you the correct temperature to cook the bread at and for how long to cause a scientific reaction that makes all the sugar in the bread caremalise and that it's all caused by a thermocouple and some nichrome.

I was also interested in edietics, or the ability to live off the sun's rays, like a plant.

Now, I have obsessions with Sherlock Holmes, Vincent van Gogh, and colouring.

It changes quite a lot, but I think Sherlock Holmes is going to last. And Vincent. I like people who were/are Aspie.

Some of those are quite random.

lucid dreaming

I too, am obsessed with lucid dreaming; I try to do it every night and I recreate the same dream over and over again, making sure every detail is perfect. I've always done it- even before I knew what it was. Also, whenever I asked others if they'dd ever done it before, they all said "No"...apparently it's a really hard skill to learn, so that makes both you and I talented.

If you're obsessed, it's easier to be lucid, I think. It just took me 3 days to have my first lucid dream, when I was 11. A lot of people try for months before they get their first lucid dream, yes, so we're very lucky!

I can't think of many obsessions that are really random like some of the examples here, but I'll try anyways.

I remember one of my earliest obsessions was about Pokemon, haha. I collected a bunch of cards, watched the show, played the game, bought books, went to online websites about Pokemon, drew the characters a lot, and talked about it quite a bit to my family. Kinda funny though, in a way, considering that the guy who created Pokemon has Asperger's Syndrome. Laughing

I've been obsessed with North Korea for a short time a few months back. The phase stopped, but as a result of all the article I've read and the documentaries I've watched, I've actually created a character in one of my stories that's an escapee from North Korea. Very Happy

Augh... Can't remember much now... As a little elementary schooler, I remember being obsessed with:
Gemstones
Butterflies and Moths (search up Comet Moth and they me they don't look cool Very Happy )
Rabbits
Different types of weather phenomena
Astronomy
Oceanography

I'm still quite interested in the last two though.

My special interest was storeys in the house when I was about 7. Before that, I liked radio stations.

When my special interest was the planets, I gave them all personalities.

Mercury: Rushed; best friends with Mars; didn't like Saturn

Venus: Bad Hygiene, but pretty nice generally, shy; best friends with Jupiter; didn't like Uranus

Earth: Exactly like me; best friends with Pluto (still a planet at this time); didn't like Mars

Mars: Grumpy and evil; best friends with Mercury; didn't like Earth

Jupiter: The leader of the planets; best friends with Saturn; didn't like Pluto (Still a planet at this time)

Saturn: The Bully; best friends with Jupiter; didn't like Mercury

Uranus: The "weird" one; best friends with Neptune; didn't like Venus

Neptune: Nice and calm; best friends with Uranus, liked all the planets

Pluto: Very friendly; best friends Earth, didn't like Jupiter
