This was on TCM last night. Second time I've seen it. It's not nearly as good as 2001 (it provides some amazingly unimaginative answers to the questions asked by that film), but I can't help but like it,
Not bad...not bad...although the 3D animation almost made me sick.
You do have to feel sorry for the Once-Ler who does redeem himself.
How cool! I just saw the movie discussed on the Starz movie channel yesterday and look forward when it comes out on DVD. The color IS very saturated I noticed. I can imaging that would be overwhelming in IMAX 3D.

Watched part of this earlier, but someone else (not revealing any names) insisted I put something else on. I've seen it before, though. It's one of my favorites (I like missing person films). _________________ "I Would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it."

We just watched Underworld III: Rise Of The Lycans on one of the cable channels.
As one who's always had a so-so opinion of the Underworld movies, I must say - - I rather liked it!
On top of that, Kate Beckinsale with long hair this time is a hottie!
I watched a double feature with my (one) friend Saturday night:
The Human Centipede 2. Yes, I knew what I was getting into with this one. My advice: Don't do this to yourself. (That is, don't watch the movie.) Unless you enjoy scenes of amateur surgery, rape, matricide, sandpaper-assisted masturbation, clawhammer dentistry, explosive diarrhea, etc. If you do enjoy these things, rush to buy a copy now. It's the only movie you'll ever need to own.
Cowboys and Aliens. Yawn. I knew what was going to happen in every scene long before it actually happened. Predictable is hardly a strong enough word. Too bad, the movie had an excellent cast, but they were wasted on this. At least Human Centipede 2 kept me awake.
Better luck next weekend, maybe... _________________

Sounds tough to relate to; must've been that sci-fi drug from A Serbian Film making a reappearance.

I haven't seen A Serbian Film, although I've read reviews of it. From what I've read, the DVD is a shortened version of the movie, and that annoys me. If I rent a disgustingly brutal movie, I want to see the whole thing! _________________

I haven't seen it either but there was a healthy side-topic for it on a Human Centipede thread over which was more disturbing. The idea I got was that while apparently to most who watched it was a wonderfully built movie for the net effect of an epic tragedy its still tough to get over the elephant in the room of a giant deus ex machina in a syringe.

"Pulp Fiction" - I generally don't care for Quentin Tarantino's films, but I think Pulp Fiction is quite good. Although watching it last night, I realized it's just a sit-com with blood. _________________ Ring the bell that still can ring / Forget your perfect offering /

Margin Call. Odd film. Big name cast but a low budget style film, mostly standing around talking, and I thought they could have done more with the soundtrack.
