To answer your question: 1. It is ok to make friends wherever you may find them and wherever you may be. Those of us on the spectrum already have enough of a difficult time to make interpersonal connections, especially friendship. Far be it from anyone here to shackle you by saying no and turning you away.

2. Wrong Planet is here for all of us who are neurologically atypical. Aspies are represented as we have a difficult time in real space making connections as we struggle reading non-verbal behavior. Some of us have learned to memorize patterns but even then we are mostly guessing. Yet in cyber-space, with no body language, we can be ourselves.

If you look we also welcome Bi-polar and Tourettes as well as PDD-NOS and those NTs who want to learn more about us. You are just like us, even though the "flavor" of your neurological difference has been defined slightly differently by the DSM-IV. (Even the DSM-IV is expected to be revised by the end of 2013 so definitions may change.) Please don't get hung up on the letters AS or HFA or PDD-NOS as those are NT terms used to categorize us so they can understand, thats all. Smile You are welcome here.

Oke thank you then :O Sorry if i was being a bother but i was just really unsure, i think i get hung up on letters and my diagnose a lot because so far a lot of times when i told someone about my pdd-nos i get looked at as a lesser person *not with everyone ofcourse*, even online it happens sometimes, but i just want to explain to people why i act the way i do :o Ofcourse not all people are like that, but that makes me unsure. Sorry i just wanted to explain that :o I also don't like using yellow smileys for some reason xD I'm just rambling about stuff you mostly know about i guess :o So i'll stop now.

Anyway thank you for answering my question!

Hi all My name is Kent, and I am 59 in Westminster, CO and even in that rare archive known as a phone book made with paper. My current interests change like weather patterns for the entire globe that is to say internally a lot is continuously happening inside. As i said elswhere, my brain is a different OS for a warehouse 13 that is my mind. Should i put out warning sign: Sometimes loud outspoken to stoney silent. My mind is like a show tht never ends that all emotional states may be found in. I love to try to find and meet other like minds just to talk to, and at times i would be very greatful just for a nice long conversation. I have done some Role Playing over phone that lasted hours. I hve over active imagination , which is why my mind is warehouse 13 of me, good and bad, loveable and wierd. And please be wre i like literal, and i cried watching Forest Gump. You can see my earthly location but in truth i am somplace over the rainbow in OZ- the Outer Zones...

Hi, I'm a 47 year old female that lives in the South Central US.

I'm on disability for depression although I've also been diagnosed as ASD.

I have a hard time making and keeping friends in real life, so I hope to have online friends through here.

My interests are reading, usually mysteries, tv (even though I don't have one now) interior design, classic rock music, to name a few.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi! I'm Cleo, a 20 year old from southern Ontario looking for new friends around my age. :3

People tell me I am quirky and funny but also a bit of a "girl next door". I go to University of Waterloo (3rd year) and am majoring in Sociology, hoping to go to grad school in a couple years :3.

Hey.

I'm Ryan, I'm 24 and from England. I also find it hard to make new friends. I don't know why but looking for friends in this way also feels hard. I need at least one new friend that is more like me as my other friends aren't like me at all and all have typical lives. I'd love to talk to someone that'll understand me better and will be around to talk to more. I prefer to talk to girls as I don't usually get on well with many guys. But I'm open to making more guy friends too.

I like video games, especially NHL series. I love ice hockey and basketball and baseball. I love tv shows like The Big Bang Theory and The Simpsons and South Park. I love science, especially astronomy. I like football (soccer) too and support Australia despite being English. I love Aussies and currently have no Australian friends anymore.

I'd really like someone that's on my mental level which can be pretty childlike a lot of the time. I love Lego and building things.

Hi, I'm Jake. I'm nearly 21, I don't have ASD, but I do have Non-verbal learning disorder (NLD). I am in the process of changing schools. I'm from the east coast originally, live temporarily in SoCal and am moving back east June 1. I LOVE music more than anything. I have had lots of trouble making friends my whole life, got bullied in school, outcasted in college in the past. I get along with aspies and NLD folk real well because there is a lot of common ground for us. Thanks.

Hi I'm Giorgio and I'm from Italy. I was diagnosed when I was 12, but I discovered the asperger syndrome three years ago. Now I'm 19 and I'm studying in a game graphics academy to fulfill my dream to become a game designer.

I have a lot of passions, but mainly computer science, programming, web design, game design, user experience design, everyting that ends with design, cognitive psychology, 3d graphics, reading, playing a lot of retrogames and listening symphonic metal. I like to learn much as I can about things I love.

Though normally I don't have problems to socialize, I always prefer to stay alone. Talking about everyday things is really a stress to me, so I prefer to spend my time on internet with people sharing my passions. I would really like to get to know some aspie geeks! Smile

Hi, I'm Bill (you can find my intro in the newcomers section).

I'm from New Jersey, USA and I'm a few weeks shy of 20. I'm officially undiagnosed, but those who know me all agree that I fit the Aspie definition like a glove.

I'm a sophomore in college studying political science and Spanish and I'm interested in a lot of different things.

Just wanted to say hello once again.

I'm Ben, I've been around on this site on and off since 2008. I'm now beginning to get more active on it. I'm 20 years old, turning 21 in November. I'm in college but after this summer semester is over I'm going to take a year off to figure out who I am, so that by the time I start back up I'm can do a little better than I have been. Anyways, feel free to PM me if you're somewhere around my age.
