Wow...at the rate things are going here with women being forced to give birth to rapists' children, such thinking is not far off here either.
I dont get the "honor" part....there is nothing hororable about being forced to live with her rapist who I am sure now had legal "right" there to rape her all he wanted.
While I do think that she should have fed him the rat poison instead or at least antifreeze. 
I hope this sheds light on how truly insane this verdict was. May she finally be at peace, and may her death pave the way for better handling of these situations there.

Hey there was a law passed by China that no one in Tibet is allowed to reincarnate, so anything is possible. 
However I do think that by forcing her to marry her rapist that they thought that would "save her honor" in that she would be married to the one who took her virginity, as if they could not recognize the trauma to her by being sexually violated and only saw it as a woman is property thing.

I think by 'resolve' the judge meant that she, as 'damaged goods' due to not being a virgin anymore (IOW, probably not marry-able in their culture), would have her 'value' redeemed by being given a marriage, any marriage (which she would otherwise not have). It makes sense in an "Apocalypse Now" sort of way. ("The horror... the horror...")
So, to summarize, she gets raped by some a**hole, is judged to be worthless by her community, family and relatives, and is then forced to marry to the rapist-guy. "Yeah," to whoever said she should've given him that rat-poison that she ate. And the judge, the family, and those 'helpful' aquaintances also deserve some of that strychnine. Bastards.
