So, I'm currently updating an excel spreadsheet with names from the sign up sheets for the field trip. But here is my problem, I feel the excel spreadsheet is to disorganized. We have the classic things I agree with, first name, last name, adress, zip, phone, e-mail, etc. However, there is one thing I feel is missing. Date of Sign in.

I hate clumping people together with the proper date information. When doing my own banking entries I add in date. I feel like this needs a date. And it's something I can't stop focusing on.

Well that and the fact that the Data sign in sheets says write in Print Clearly and Neatly and yet no one has. I cannot tell if this is 4 or an 8, etc.

Just wanted to vent out some of my frustrations.

...and I make a lot of them at work, is that I don't add any datapoints I don't think I'll have a use for or will want to sort by. I can't think of anything the "Date of Sign in" would be useful for in THIS PARTICULAR case, so I wouldn't add it.

Because they want to contact the people and I am kind of that kind of precise person, where I'm like "yes you came to this field trip on wednesday of this date,"

Because this information is also just as much about contacting them again. Then maybe not date, but what Elementary they came from. Because right now there is nothing seperating out the list of these contacts. And it be good to know what Elementary they are coming from.

It's just my brain knows they come from different Elementaries and it makes it hard for me to clump them all in one list.

I know the feeling, you know there is missing or bad data collected, ultimately this means the whole exercise is futile. Oh well, you can't do anything about it now.

It looks like they plan to implement what I was thinking into the new spreadsheets.
