I've never actually met an Aspie adult other than my Dad, but coincidentally I just made a thread about an Aspie that I simply can't stand, and feel bad for that purpose.

EDIT: Wait. I think I jumped a bit there and didn't read enough between the lines. I think you're talking about perceptions? like NT's can sometime interpret certain normal Aspie behavior as arrogance? If that's what you meant I do agree with that.

yes i think i am quite arrogant in areas that i have researched or that i have strong ethical ideas about. i am perceived as arrogant because i don't second-guess my knowledge or defer to people in any way. if someone proves me wrong then i integrate that new knowledge into my mental file cabinet and move on.

I am ashamed of how arrogant I have been in the past. It was more an internal attitude than anything I said to anybody. I did not bully people, but I was good at discerning how pathetic most people are.
Another trait to work on.

I was cynical and arrogant for two years of my life. I was saying things about NTs being sheep and other nasty things about society. I'm glad that I've finally gotten over it just in time for my 35th Birthday.

| I can be pretty arrogant at times. I like to be right and rub it into peoples faces. Its a character flaw of mine, but I don't think its necessarily related to autism. |

I find that this statement is untrue.
I try not to be arrogant... but I have found that if you can back it up, most people take it even worse, because they assume you are just TRYING to show them up.
