Racism is a paradigm whereas AIDS is the result of HIV infection. A cure for HIV seems likely, if potentially distant. To remove a paradigm takes time and disarmament. It is also harder to do when you consider the wealth of information available and the interconnectedness of global society that prevents any idea from going quietly

Sure you can cure HIV but when it becomes full blown aids their is no hope no cure kinda like with racism it can start out as something that can be treated until it becomes a fire that just spreads hate engulfing people with ignorance ang bigotry. |

Okay, would you prefer the term chauvinism? Racists often justify their racism by saying the denigrated race has inferior character, cultures, values, etc. It is certainly fair to criticize practices in another culture as much as it is in one's own. I don't like Obama because I think he's made horrible decisions, he just says what people want to hear but does not follow through and I don't see him creating any positive change that he went on about having the ability to create. If he was white, or even purple for that matter I would have the same opinion.
