I fell weird. I really like to be crushed. at my dads house we have a huge bean bag fhair ane i lay under it (probaly about 45 lb) and have my dad get on whi is about 200lb. I really hate touch but that is the only kind i love. when there is a ton of weight on me i feel great. soketimes i put really heavy things on me when i sleep (like a dresser) is it weird? the limit for me is about 300-350lb and i am 140lb my mom thinks ill be crushed but i love it. is there a way to tell here about it. if thisis an aspergers thing she will have none of it. She really denies the fact that i have aspergers. i also have insomnia and stay up until 4am and sleep fr 2 hours and feel fine. i brag to kds at school who are so tired. (when i was i school) _________________ Your Aspie score: 192 of 200

| I like to have weight on me when I sleep - I'll pile up as many blankets as I can. I remember as a kid I'd have as many as 17 blankets on my bed. There is such a thing as a weighted blanket, supposedly it's good for calming people on the spectrum. There are several companies who offer these. I googled "weighted blanket" and got lots of links. |

Oh, I thought you meant my own weight, I was gonna reply to it... No, I don't even like wearing a coat because of that feeling. |

| No. I sleep in the same bed with my mom (for safety reasons and miscellaneous) and I hate it when she touches me. It feels really... I don't know. I know that I have to move a lot when that happens. Then I usually can't sleep, so this partially explains why I'm ready to sleep by about 10 a.m in the morning. Then my teacher complains about me going to bed when I'm supposed to (which is practically impossible because of the massive amount of writing she assigns and my issue with touch). |

I do.
I used to get between the mattress and box spring of my old bed. The weight felt great. Too bad I got a futon now. |

I like pressure on my body. It helps with meltdowns, shutdowns, sensory overload, and probably other things I haven't noticed yet.
I get severely overloaded when I go to stores like CostCo, especially when they're crowded. People moving around me nearly randomly, sometimes nearly walking right into me, crowding in front of what I'm trying to look at, etc. I end up getting angrier and more frustrated because of all this movement, noise, and light.
And I discovered that the carts are just about the perfect height for me to push it by leaning on my forearms. The pressure centers me and makes it easier to cope with everything else. It's not perfect, but it is a fairly large improvement.
Unfortunately, the leaning itself causes pain due to fibro, but it's always something, you know? |
