|
|
Right now I am in the process of re-writing my dating ad, since it has been quite a while since I have been on dating websites. So I wanted to ask how do I word my ad, so that anybody reading it would that I am what you say odd. However at the same time I don't want to admit openly on the ad that I am on the Autistic spectrum.
Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated. |

Oh you're male. If you're male, exaggerate everything like women do with a push up bra.
If you work in a factory, state you are a machine or technical engineer, if you are a door to door salesman selling coins, state you are a CEO or sales advisor for a international company.
Make it look like you have an exciting lifestyle, take pictures of you posing in nightclubs with random women, travelling to different locations. Rent sports cars or take them for a test drive and get a friend to take photos of you driving them. |

Or you could play the humor card. This lets them know that you have a quirky sense of humor. Something like "5-3 Jerry lewis Look alike with promising future job in the food service industry seeks supermodel or porn star for meaningful relationship..... Thats not really me, and thats not really you, but I'd just like to get together with someone smart, funny, who has a good sense of humor and go out for <wherever you want to take a first date>" _________________ Frances

Dont know how nor what kind of odd you are, but youre dilemma seems to be how to give "fair warning" without scaring people off.
You could turn it around and say "oddness is a plus", or "geekiness is a plus", when you describe the person youre looking for. |
