But yeah there are a lot I've heard on last.fm but I'd have to look at my music history to see what their called. I only recently really got intrested in this sort of music so I'm still trying to find more bands in those genres.

Those bands are all in the Industrial genre I think (more precisely EBM). I think Deathstars is more in the metal area and can be classified as Industrial Metal. So far as my limited genre-guessing skills can go.

I wouldn't have thought you mind your taste in music being different. It had always seemed to me like you're content with it. Maybe it's a confidence issue, rather than issue with music?

And BTW, I seem to be into drugs from my interests too, I was even suspected to have HIV when I got admitted to a mental hospital and talked about my interests, before my sister told them 'no way'. Laughing

That was odd.

Definitely not an alien. I don't know electronic bands too well, but I do listen to quite a bit of it. I know what you mean, though. I get plenty of blank stares, looks of confusion, and even some out-right disgust when I talk about electronic music. People don't expect it from me, I suppose, and not many people I know listen to as much of it as I do. ... my brother in-law once told me Dubstep was a band. I was all and left it at that. Why do people even need drugs to enjoy this music? Drugs enhance the experience but they are not a requirement to enjoy this type of music. That's like saying "I need laxatives, otherwise I can't poop".

Laxatives are drugs aren't they, though I think there are things with funner effects than making one poop.

Yeah, I remember on another forum I used to post on I had someone say "There's no way you can listen to so much doom metal and not smoke at least a little weed." Though if it was legal/more readily available I probably would smoke it, but even without it, I still enjoy the music anyway.
