I would like to share my approach to getting around communication issues caused by AS and/or SPD. Here's the link:

I wrote this work, and I hope it's clear and easy to understand.

Intresting but I'm one of the ones who can recognize facial expressions and body language, just not when I am trying to talk to them and hear what they say. I have more of an issue with not being able to process all that information for instance even trying to look someone in the eye, or look like I am giving eye contact is too much to focus on. But if I see a picture of a facial expression I can usually tell what facial expression it is, its just in interaction I can't process everything so I litterally can only talk and listen if I want to take in what someones saying and respond. If I try making eye contact or looking at body language or things like that I get too distracted.

Sometimes I'm able to recognize facial expressions in photographs like you can, but never when I'm trying to talk to someone and hear what he/she says. You definitely have some of the same issues that I have. But when I'm using tactile signing I'm able to focus on more than just the signs. That's why I decided to share my approach to getting around my inability to simultaneously focus on the emotion cues and words. I hope I can popularize it someday.
