| In addition to my Asperger I also suffer from GAD or Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which I take anti anxiety medication for. Any other aspie suffer from this too? Is it a common co-condition of Asperger? |

I've got it, too. *GAD-five*
From what I've seen, it's not out of the ordinary for an aspie to have anxiety issues. Many parts of AS, be they external (bullying) or internal (fixation), can create anxiety issues. |

I really don't know since I have never been diagnosed with it even though I've had most or all of the symptoms and put on medication for anxiety. I am lucky enough to have even been diagnosed with Asperger's, most doctors and shrinks where I live just want to leave me to die. |

| I've been diagnosed with GAD. I've had it as far back as I can remember - I can remember having panic attacks as early as age 3. I take anti-anxiety medication for it, and it's pretty efficient for keeping my panic attacks under control. But even though I don't panic, I still worry a lot. It's almost as though if there isn't something to worry about, then my brain will find an excuse to worry. |

I had the GAD diagnosis even before the Aspie one. I've also apparently got PTSD as well. _________________ KWATZ! |

Big ol' affirmative on that one captain. I blame a detail oriented mind and a world not ready to handle my bamf neurology (grocery stores were not made with us in mind).
Uncertainty in social or even just perceived as social (i.e. public) situations plus crippling anxiety has led me to some fun (read: opposite of fun) times. |

| Not diagnosed because I have other problems in which anxiety is a symptom, but yes, I have anxiety. |

I've never been officially diagnosed but I certainly have all the symptoms for it. _________________ It's like alice in wonderland except, my names not alice and this is the real world not a dream. |

| I have GAD - it's awful. I'm anxious all the time regardless if there is anything to actually worry about. It feels like I'm a prey animal being stalked. I take anti-anxiety meds, which helps, but it doesn't get rid of the feeling. |

| I've been diagnosed with GAD and currently take medication for it. However I haven't been diagnosed with Aspergers (yet?) I'm trying to sort that out at the moment but the doctors aren't being very helpful... |

Of course GAD does not include panic at all. Panic disorder is a dx unto itself. | Yep, since 2008. It was discovered during a rather traumatic event(s) in my life during that time, which I do not wish to go into deal here. But it was basically confirmation as I've always had some symptoms of the disorder since adolescence. |
