I had some of those but because I couldn't wear socks with them they always smelled really bad and made my feet smell awful. Even after they went through the wash 2 times in a row. People also commented that they were weird a ton.

Why couldn't you wear socks with them? I have socks with toes to wear with mine. |

toe socks are expensive, and I already have a bunch of socks. If you rewear socks then they stink and so I would have to buy a lot of socks so that doesn't happen. I can be lazy about laundry.
And it said that would make it so you have to buy a size larger, so if I were to do that I would have to have bought a different size shoe and always wear socks with them _________________ www.wrongplanet.net |

I had a bunch of old toe socks that I got a long time ago but I want to get thinner ones for summer. The one store that had them in the mall did have a crummy selection of them. |

I hate going barefoot. I have really tender feet. It hurts to walk barefoot on a surface that isn't smooth. And I can't stand getting dirt or grit on my feet.
Shoes have to be comfortable, a bit loose so I can wiggle my toes around. _________________ ADHD, inattentive type, not sure if I have AS |

Hi, I hate wearing shoes, mostly because I have odd, wide/short wedge-shaped feet that point straight forward rather than having the inwards curving banana shape that shoes seem to be made for. I used to constantly have an open sore or cut somewhere on my foot from wearing shoes, and I have a habit of taking my shoes and socks off at times that are considered inappropriate. I changed to a much wider shoe shape recently and my feet are usually healed (although covered in scars). Despite the lack of wounds, I still feel the need to take my shoes off, and I've come to the realization that the pain was not the only reason why. I seem to have the same problem with wearing shoes that I have with wearing gloves, I hate the feel of them being covered and find them much more difficult to co-ordinate. I found that I am much more comfortable navigating stairs or narrow spaces with my feet bare. The more uncomfortable the shoes, the more of a sense of vertigo I feel on steps. (Not talking about high heels, just normal flat shoes)
Does anyone else here find shoes affect their confidence and co-ordination? |
