I suppose I consider myself a Christian of indeterminate denomination and quasi-nonconformist roots. Welcome to WP! |

Yes, it's really strange how many self-confessed 'Christians' know so little about what the Bible actually says, believing that, for example, it condones the accumulation of riches when in fact it explicitly condemns it on occasions too numerous to mention (ex. Epistle of James, Chapter 5 being just one).
Anyway, although I don't consider myself to be a Christian (I don't really like labels very much), I do believe in God, read the New Testament because I actually enjoy doing so, practically live like a monk (no drugs, cigarettes, sex, hardly ever gamble - although when I do I tend to win), do not believe that blind and chaotic forces just magically 'created' the universe from literally nothing, do not believe in Darwinism, and one of my hobbies is to debate the finer points of the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses when they turn up on my door (not often enough, unfortunately).
So, does all of the above qualify me to be a member? |

I'm diagnosed with Autism and am a Christian. Despite occassional doubts, I am firm and comfortable in my faith. However, I am not bound to any one denomonation of Christianity. The many different denominations confuse me; they all have truth in them, and are all twirked in a strange fashion. But, such is humanity. I'll leave all that for God to sort out. |
