I am absolutely not superstitious. My first date with my (now) Hubby was on Friday, October 13th, under a full moon. No occult correlation. I watched him in his football game, then we walked to his house and played Nintendo, then he walked me home. We were 16 and 17 years old. (awww)
For those who like coincidences, though...
I was born on the 13th
My next sister was born on the 13th
My next sister was born on the 31st
My brother was born on the 7th.
Girls w/ a superstitious bad number, Boy with a superstitious good number.

13 isn't so bad if you think about it. _________________ Feel free to drop me a PM, but it may take a while to reply. I don't bite, though.

| I'm not a superstitious person and only see Friday the 13ths as normal days. I have never had anything terrible happen to me on Friday the 13th. Every Friday 13th in my memory was just a normal. day. |

The worst that happened was an oral presentation, and that was actually a tiny good thing for the NT views and stereotypes.
13 is the second of the maximal set of primes. A maximal set of primes is where there is a prime for n1, n3, n7, and n9 [There could be a mathematical term for this, but it only works in decimal]. When n=2, there are only the n3 and n9 primes. _________________ Q(A44,E06,F19,S64),158/200,33/200

I'm not superstitious about Friday 13th, but I get a little excited when they occur because I'm quite a fan of the horror movies of the same name.
The Christmas before last my brother got me the first 8 Friday 13th films in a DVD box-set, and I try to watch at least the first one every Friday 13th (I also do this with the Halloween films on Halloween) but yesterday I couldn't watch any because I was busy with work and travelling. I'll be sure to watch some soon though when I get the chance. I'm itching to.
I love those corny movies. _________________

| I bumped my shin this morning, so this Friday the 13th stuff must be true. And why wasn't this tragedy foreseen in my horoscope!? |

I was born on a Friday the 13th. According to superstition, I must be a vile being full of bad luck. |

I happen to like the number 13 myself. Maybe it's because my birthday is April 13th, which will also be on a friday this year. the 3rd one will be in July.
13 is a nice prime number, I like prime numbers.
So, is anyone superstitious and actually believe friday the 13th is somehow unlucky?
I don't believe friday the 13th is be either lucky or unlucky. Friday the 13th is just a day to point out how silly superstition really is.
What are your thoughts on Friday the 13th, the number 13, or any other superstition? |
i also like primes and 13 in particular. 13 is a particularly primal prime, it is the 6th prime, 6 relating to circles as circles of the same same size naturally lattice as the hexagonal/ circular lattice. really the same form, the circles just become hexagons if you make lines so there are no spaces between circles. 6 circles exactly surround a center circle, each touching at one tangent, again the tangent can be smoothed into a line if you'd like to make them polygons. honeycombs. and pi has relations and ties to primality.
how ever as for fridays the 13th. bah humbug. thursday 13ths is where its at. its all about alliteration. i guess 4ths, 5ths, 15th are fine for fridays. not the number between 13 & 15. i dont like that one. i dont know why. its the only number i really have anything against. |

Happy Friday the 13th, again, everyone!
and a happy birthday to myself
42 years ago the infamous phrase was uttered...
"Houston, we have had a problem." (frequently misquoted as "Houston, we have a problem.")
and I was born within minutes of that event on Apollo 13. _________________ Your Aspie score: 172 of 200
