If you have the money, you might want to consider electrolysis to get the hair removed permanently so you won't have to bother. Of course, it's up to you. |
My wife and I briefly thought about it for her, but it's out of our budget, very painful, and non-reversible. We're both big fans of reversible decisions, especially when it comes to body changes. What if I had her do electrolysis, and then I croak, and she marries someone who is into body hair? I'd like her to be able to accommodate him -- especially knowing that she has no strong preference about her own body hair. _________________ Christianity is different than Judaism only in people's minds -- not in the Bible. |

| I know but why would I let something superficial get in the way of a relationship? If the woman who loves me can't men with beards why should I grow a beard? Sometimes I might go a few days without shaving as an act of defiance. |

Why didn't I think of quitting work back then, for the same reason?
There is something to be said for mutual accommodation, as opposed to getting relationship-ready with an "arms-closed" (inflexible, unwelcoming) approach. _________________ Christianity is different than Judaism only in people's minds -- not in the Bible. |

i had one male friend who explained to me that some men like women to have high heels because it looks like they look like they are trying extra hard to get male attention. and it looks unnatural and kind of tippy, which can apparently be a turn-on. i don't know if that is actually true for other males, but it's an interesting theory. |
True for me. Women who look like they could use some help are generally more attractive to most men -- probably because of men's natural instinct to be the "rock" or support in a relationship. I don't know if this is offensive in any way, but what your friend said is definitely a turn-on for me. My wife is small and fragile. That makes my swell with love and the determination to protect her. I do think many other men react similarly to women who, in whatever way, look like they could use their help. |
Infantalization is so cute. |
You were so nice in my diet thread. What happened? Not every woman wants to be Xena the Warrior Princess. And thank God! _________________ Christianity is different than Judaism only in people's minds -- not in the Bible.

If that is your photo, then you do have a very cute little beard. |

Its one of those things where you do something for the other person. Superficial things matter, yes what's inside matters too but somehow I doubt any of the people championing the "its only the inside that matters" would go on a date with a homeless man who was a beautiful person on the inside. I like tattoos and piercings, but I'm not dating this Woman On the same note, I'm not going to ask a woman out who I know hold values excessively contrary to my own regardless of how good looking she is because I know it won't work out. |

If she thought not showering is only repugnant when it comes to males, and not females,
I think you're better off without such irrational people in your life. _________________ "Such is the Frailty

You're equating disparities in economic status with sex-based aesthetic roles?
If anything that solidifies the point: differences do matter, whether between people of varying means, or people of varying levels of preoccupation with whatever the en-vogue beauty ritual is. _________________ "Such is the Frailty

Right, because the head is not part of the body.
Except for the right eyebrow. And maybe a couple hairs in the nasal cavity.
Let's try to be even more random. _________________ "Such is the Frailty

Yes, because I was the one who brought up aesthetics..... |
