it's gonna look like this-
[qoute="Uhura"]Now if only I can remember how I did that each time and it works consistently.
("quote" intentionally mispelt so it will show up as code upon posting- spell it as "quote" to make the white box)
why not hit edit or quote to see what it looks like before posting, and then copy/paste it into your notepad or wordpad app for future reference? just a thought Idea

and remember that each white-highlighted paragraph will have to have the
(use the " end quotation mark) leading and the
ending for it to work.

I'm not good at academic work either.

I prefer doing research on something I'm interested in at the time. I don't have THE big skill either. I'm just mostly interested in music and films.

auntblabby is right. Put this in a notepad document if you don't want to forget it. I have plenty of little pieces of information I wanted to keep stored in many notepad files..

And when you're writing your post, next to the submit button is the "Preview" button to see what it will look like.

auntblabby - Do you have images turned off in your browser?

Don't feel too badly. I have a higher than average IQ, and it doesn't do me that much good. My gifts are unspecific and difficult to pin down or even explain. The one that I can pin down is being a good writer. But the kind of writing I like to do (fiction) isn't easy to make a living at. My other gifts are things that really aren't measurable or in demand. I don't work well with others. I can get along, but coordinating efforts somehow doesn't click for me. That was enough of a problem to cause me to leave school without a degree. I really needed to work alone and in patterns that suit me, not that suit college instructors and curriculum. I managed to make do with a civil service career in technical writing and editing (which allowed me to work independently much of the time), and got promoted because there were people who seemed to appreciate my efforts. But it's not the kind of thing that provides a great income, and when I got promoted into management I HATED IT and got so stressed and burned out I felt as if I had to take early retirement or die, honestly. My retirement income is pitiful because I retired so early. Now I'm stuck once again trying to figure out how I can make some money.

This is all not to get pity or anything, just to point out that gifts don't equal financial security or happiness, and neither does high IQ. It's easy to think that how it is for the other person would be easier. But really I think it's better to work at finding ways to work with what we have. Work at making a life rather than wishing for a life.
