I think I get you. Modern MMORPGs are extremely fast-paced and require a great reaction time and skill, which I just don't have. My reaction time sucks and I'm simply bad at it, no matter which class I'm playing. Which is very frustrating, because I enjoyed MMORPGs a great deal back in the days of Everquest. I usually played a healer class, watched the tanks and nukers do their thing, occasionally threw in a healing spell, and even found time to chat and role-play between the mob encounters. But in more recent online games everything is a blur, everyone is in a hurry and I can't keep up anymore.
Single player games have become frustratingly complex and challenging as well. I quickly gave up on most games that I've bought in the last decades and rarely ever play anything anymore. The only recent game that I found enjoyable was Skyrim. The graphics are breathtaking, the difficulty is adjustable, and it's easy to play as a tank without using ranged weapons or spells. Charge the enemy, mash a mouse button, enjoy a realistic victory animation. I can highly recommend it if you're looking for an easy-to-play offline RPG of epic proportions. Alas, it can't convey the sense of community that MMORPGs used to have. |

Well my computer is a Windows 7 64 bit upgraded from Vista, my vidcard is NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250,....that's all I know,..I forget how to access the other info. BUT, however, the best way someone could help me, as I have stated before, is if we live near to each other, & I trust the person to be in the same room to safely guide me thru video games. I wish I were better at them so I can just play & mod well w/o depending on anyone. I don't know if I could get where I want w/ video games.

Thanks. I have Morrowind & Oblivion. I haven't yet finished what I wanted in Oblivion enough to want Skyrim, and I think the bloody decapitations are kind of gross, but I am just a Sissy-Girl. In MMO's the players are top-notch hardcore, enjoy PVP a lot, which I hate, and requires others like themselves. If I am not like them, they do not accept me.

Ok,
How about a good point & click dungeon crawling RPG, one that is not too demanding on your system, so you'll run no problem on your PC:

Torchlight is a diablo-style game with a unique touch, plus it is really cheap!
As for living nearby... steam and multiplayer are your friends. You can play coop games, voice and all, with anyone, anywhere.
