Some interesting photos in here recently. I particularly like the ones with the cherry blossom trees.

The ones with Buckingham are interesting too Tequila. I lived just around the corner from the Gaol until 2008. Seems like some of the shops have changed since then.

Definitely right about the time of year!

I posted some quick shots of the same thing - it's a blackthorn, I think? - a few pages back:

Thanks cornflake, yeah I liked how that middle one turned out too, though I think the composition/crop is a bit off, but too late to do anything about that now.

Really like the shots you took too.

Storm clouds with the weird late-winter / early-spring heat wave last month.

Thanks. I like living in a place with spectacular weather. The Great Lakes are awesome too, like vast inland seas. So large they create their own weather systems.

More from me.

Taken in Aylesbury. I didn't like the place much at all - thought it was a bit of a dump with not much to see but anyway...

The pay and display station on the car park on Exchange Street:

An outlet of a Spanish tapas restaurant chain:

Market Square in Aylesbury. It was a market day:

A branch of Lloyds TSB:

A town water pump on one of the side streets:

A row of takeaway outlets in the town centre:

And a rather rough town centre pub:

@ Tequila

I'm kind of jealous that we don't have as much man-made beauty across the pond. American towns are ugly in comparison.

edit: I mean the earlier photos you posted Wink . The latest set looks more like a typical US town.

Hi Henbane and marshall - I'm glad you like them. I'll post some more photos soon!

For now, here's my lunch today, taken at a local supermarket café:

The cenotaph in the Buckinghamshire village we stopped at:

The next day was our day trip into London. Here's photos taken at the station, starting with the car park...

...and the railway track:

The location sign at our train station:

Once we got on the train it was a fairly uneventful 35-40 minute journey into London. Here's a shot taken from the carriage at the Berkhamsted stop:

Having made it to London Euston we got off and began to look for the Underground station. Here's a photo taken on the way:

We then took the Tube to Embankment in Central London. Here is the exterior of that station:
