I could wear jeans for a few years in middle/high school, but in the past 4 or 5 days they've hurt my legs again and I've quit wearing them. Luckily, I've found some jean leggings (I love leggings) that are actually in style! I'm so excited to be able to go out and look "normal," rather than always living in sweats (which also started to bother my legs) or black leggings.

I, too, wear things for days at a time and hate the feeling of freshly-cleaned clothes. Shudder.

I can't wear shoes that make high heel "clump clump" sound (think teachers). I have shoes altered so they are quiet. And if my feet are uncomfortable, there will be no progress in anything I do. I can't even think like that.

Also, the colors I wear are extremely important. And the textures. I sleep in my clothes inside out if they have tags, just in case. And if my belly gets wet I absolutely must change my shirt immediately. Same goes for socks....of which I have more than 200 pairs. Smile

I wore the same pair of shoes to work every day for something like a year and a half. They were comfy and I thought looked OK. I stopped when someone made a nasty comment. I'm trying to fit in more, so I don't do that any more.

Another weird thing. I *love* pajama pants, cotton or flannel or satin. But I can't sleep in them. Just can't stand the feel of the legs of the pajamas against the sheets. And can't stand the feel of flannel sheets, either. Or fuzzy blankets.

I have some strange clothing habits. More in appearance than anything else. I'm a chameleon, so sometimes I look really 'normal' & sometimes ('the real me') I look, well, like me. Others may see it as 'interesting'. I'm not sure.
I'm not into limiting myself with convention though.

In high school I took to wearing a bag for a hat - it was a cool, type of pull-string bag cream in colour with colourful beaDs on it. It was a great hat. People gave me compliments on it & when (thinking that I ought to be honest) I was telling them it was actually a bag they often gave me looks of hesitancy.

I wear the same clothing for weeks at a time unless I'm going somewhere public where I need to interact.

I wear clothes that make me feel safe and protected.

I also have sensory issues with clothes. The only clothes that I wear are hoodies. I own over 80 different hoodies(my favorite hoodie is my black spider hoodie).

I always wear the hood up on the hoodies cause it makes me feel like I'm in my own little world safe and sound.

I'm so used to wearing a hoodie that on the rare occasion that I don't wear a hoodie I start to feel really uncomfortable not wearing one.

I wear gloves on my hands cause I don't like my skin touching stuff.

For pants I wear heavy sweatpants. I hate jeans.

When I go out I put sunglasses on. I don't like people looking at my eyes.

I wear thermal socks, and a pair of worn-down sneakers.

In the winter I wear a pink hooded snowsuit, pink gloves, pink boots, with a pink scarf to complete my look. Underneath the snowsuit I wear layers of hoodies, coats, and jackets.

The way I dress has gotten me banned from certain stores cause I refuse to take my sunglasses and hood off.

I always wear the same clothes when I'm at home. They're comfy and warm. Little upset recently since my trousers are starting to break down, I'll need to find new ones soon. I got a zip-up hoodie which is actually a size larger than I usually have, which is far more comfortable.

I try to wear something more fashionable when I go outside though. I actually like to have nicely matching colours recently, as opposed to the dark clothing I used to be wearing up until a few months ago.

A week ago I bought new shoes. I had my current ones for over 3 years, and different people gave me horrible feedback on those. They were great though, when I had them on, I barely noticed it. I dislike shoes that put pressure on my feet, which sadly is most of them. This is also the reason I spent an hour or so with different sales women from the shoe shop, trying to find shoes that I like and that were comfortable, it was hard, but I found them, lol.

I really really really dislike wearing a suit. The shirt is annoying everywhere, the trousers always feel cold and sticky. Really horrible to wear. I prefer jeans much more, a sweater is usually the most formal thing I wear.

J America zip up jacket with stripes. I love this jacket so much that when my bedroom got infested with bed bugs and the jacket couldn't be dry cleaned I soaked it in boiling hot water with tea tree oil, just to save it.

I like my white Canada hoodie too.

My self-made Stargate SG-1 jacket.

My blue jeans, dark khaki cargoes, my RAAF light jacket.

Any jacket with two white stripes down the arm, more points for a white zipper.

My wardrobe is pretty much limited to T-shirts, jeans, shorts, and hoodies. I get lots of "aren't you cold??" comments in the winter. Smile

I had a long phase (4-18 where I didn't put on anytype of winter clothes like gloves, caps, scarfs or boots.
At the same time, in this very phase, I would always wear an open coat or jacket.
Both of these without regards to temperature. I felt confined, the pressure of those things didn't suit me.

I started closing my jacket and winter clothing when we had an unusual cold winter (20°C under 0). Since this time, I now use those things as long as I can.
I've come to have a special scarf which is the only scarf I'll wear. People have tried to find me other scarfs but I said that another scarf would have to look very similar and feel very similar to the one I use (for 8 years already). And my gloves, they are the same as my scarf...I only use those gloves although they don't have fingers which is bad in extremely cold winters. And I don't use any other type of gloves. Only recently, someone gave me gloves that look similar to mine, but they don't feel like that,...so I have seldomly put them on.

I don't like jewelry and wrist-watches. The same as above, I feel strapped (for lack of a better word). I only have one necklace I use everyday and would not put on another one.

I'd never use high heels. I can't walk in those let alone run.
I don't use make-up. I don't like the feeling of creams or powders or worse mascara. Apart from the feeling of those things, they take way too long to be put on.

Whenever I feel like dressing up a bit, I make up an outift that to me looks the shiz but as soon as I get outside I realise I look like a mental-case.
