So I once had one apologize to me, it really did mean a lot as some of the things she said were especially hurtfull. But it was weird...I mean our school was on lock down...she just said she was suprised I was not the psycho with the gun...yet when she was crying in the corner I was the one who suggested someone go talk to her and make sure she is ok....well anyways shd eventually she apologized for things she said and I accepted it and did not get defensive towards her....she seemed surprised like she thought she deserved some judgmental commnent from me but I simply accepted the apology and told her it was OK.

Anyways I hope she learned something, and I have no hate towards her, has anyone else had an experiance like this? And as I speak I am sending loving energy towards them all hoping they will learn something. My human experiance is not about revenge its about liearning tolerance and the best way to combat hate is education...maybe I'm a dreamer, maybe I'm a hippie I don't give a crap I just want to find a somewhat meaningful path and stick to it....I've spent too long running away it is now time to find myself.

Men don't apologize, it conveys a weakness. Saying that though, I was never bullied in school, only time I've ever been "bullied" is at my current place of work, its to be expected though, warehouse employees aren't really tolerant people.

I don't think apologizing for ones wrongs is just for females but yeah you're right I guess that's stupid and weak she should have been strong and continued her bullying. Confused

I think that was smart and strong of her and your reaction was cool too. It takes much more strength to apologize than to continue bullying. Apologizing is not an easy thing. Youve gotta jump over your own shadow, if that makes sense... I dont know which language I have the phrase from Laughing

Now that it's mentioned, I have seen the division along gender lines mentioned above.

That's too bad, as Maje said it obviously takes strength to "jump over your own shadow."

Sappy lyrics on the topic that sound less sappy in the actual song:
If I were you and you were me
We could talk about it, rewrite history
If I were you and you were me
We could live together in peace and harmony
Peace and harmony

Thank you for sharing, Sweetleaf. The anecdote correlates with a feeling of happiness. I apologise for giving you bad advice.

I apologise for littering the forum with ill-constructed posts, which, although not directed at you, may have been read by you.

Actually, I heard John Wayne say "Don't ever apologize, it's a sign of weakness" in a movie. I think it was in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon," a classic directed by John Ford in which the cavalry heroically butchers a bunch of indians.

They don't make movies like that anymore...

I am not sure how heroic that sort of thing is.
Shame On You
I probably have long dead relatives who might not have thought so.

I was being sarcastic. Sorry.
