I have been wondering, are there any other soccer players around on WP? I, personally, enjoy the sport as a cerebral but active thing, although I have trouble with on-the-field communication with my teammates. It would be great if any other soccer players could share there experiences with the 'beautiful game'. _________________ Life is a long series of juxtapositions, ironies, and paradoxes.

I've been playing soccer recreationally for 6 years. I tried playing for my school's JV team, and I got sick everyday when I did it. So I'm back in rec soccer.

I have played all my life, mainly streetball though. When I came here as a teenager, I made state level. (that is not a testament to my skills, more about how little soccer is played here esspeically by girls) I still play here but only once a week now. I play Football (Soccer). I started playing when I was about 6 years of age until about the age of 11 when I had to stop playing for my team because once girls reach a certain age in England, they have to play on an all female team. I have played Football ever since, but not in a proper team, although I have QPR U-18s trials next Saturday, so hopefully I get picked for their the team.

I've played football since I was 6, unfortunately depression etc. caught up with me and I stopped playing when I was around 16-17, used to be quite good actually, fast winger with excellent crosses and shots.

In my old team I was made to play as a defender, but I started off as a goalkeeper and have reverted back to that position.

I love soccer!!! I play right back for my hs team an play striker for my rec team!! Playing club soccer is very expensive though
