I'd never heard of this until today, when I saw someone mention it on Tumblr. The description of it sounded so bizarre, and I couldn't imagine anyone fearing a 'cluster of holes.' So, I googled it.
I have never been so nauseated in my life! How can a lotus flower pod be so completely disturbing? Honestly, I feel like vomiting just looking at it, or even now, thinking of it. I had my boyfriend, stepbrother and his girlfriend all google it, and they weren't bothered by it at all. So, I guess I must have this 'unofficial phobia,' because I absolutely can't stand looking at the lotus flower pod, or anything that resembles it.

| I don't have trypophobia. But I just wanted to make the point that there is a creature called the Swarm Host which is going to be featured in the upcoming Starcraft 2 expansion, and it is setting off people's trypophobia so bad that there are some people in the Starcraft 2 community that want it redesigned. |
