Lets make this the official Diablo III thread!
Who else thought the beta was sick? How excited are you all for the release in 13 days? What are you planning on playing? _________________ <b>"If something was going to happen, let it happen."</b> - Murakami, <i>The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle</i> pg 66. |

| Bro, there are wikis for that. Anyways, Beta was okay for me. I'm excited somewhat but only for the goodies in the CE. Probably a female demon hunter (with wings!) |

Unfortunately I didn't get to play the beta much during the open beta weekend. I was leaning towards using the Witch Doctor but I think I'll like the Monk more after trying them. When I was playing the beta my laptop randomly turned off, I think it overheated which sucks because I really want to play Diablo III since Diablo II is one of my favourite games. |

Some of my friends were in love with the 2nd one. I never really understood the hype. From what I gather you do a bunch of quests, you kill a bunch of stuff and loot it, and it's single player (until they release PVP)?... I don't quite understand the hype. _________________ "You know, the blues ain't nothing but a worried ole heart disease"-Son House |

Define "sick."
I enjoyed the open beta quite a lot - killed the skeleton king 11 times, leveled up six characters (sadly none to 13). I found all the classes quite fun and it's really hard for me to pick one to start with. Demon Hunter was originally my favorite choice. I may go with the female wizard as I believe Grey DeLisle voices her, and it'll be fun to wreck things up with Azula.
I wish I had planned ahead to preorder the CE because those wings look pretty cool. I can live without, however.
I've been into Diablo since the very first demo in the 90s. I've been waiting to find out what would happen after Tyrael destroyed the Worldstone for ages. I'm glad we finally get to know. |

It's multiplayer - you can have up to four people in one game in Diablo III. Diablo II you can have up to eight people.
The looting is a big part of it, and the loot is random. |

| Yeah I can't wait to take advantage of the Diablo 3 AH to sell stuff for Blizzard Credit which will fund my WOW Subscription and ingame mounts and pets. Yep. That's what I planned to do. |

Apparently, you can only use the money in your Blizzard account to purchase digital things except a WoW subscription. If you want it to fund your WoW subscription, you have to cash out to Paypal.
Ingame mounts and pets, as well as character transfers, etc. can be paid for from the Blizzard account, however. |

| But you can buy "game time" from the store and such code will arrive in your mail. |

Just curious, why did it take so long to get this game released? I heard it took 13 years... _________________ "You know, the blues ain't nothing but a worried ole heart disease"-Son House |

If you can buy time card codes (like 30 or 60 days?) then probably. Most of what I read has not sounded promising, however. |

That's difficult when it was only in development for six years.
Diablo III had an older incarnation that fell apart after 4 or 5 years, I think, but it didn't start development until after D2:LOD was in stores, which was June 27, 2001. |

That's pretty brilliant right there. Thank you for pointing it out. |
