Definitely feeling creaky here. I had a tiny hernia, although as I think about it I don't know what the sizes of hernias are, and I had a short surgery and a long pain. I'm still hobbling about five days later.
Everything is blooming so beautifully outside.

Thank you all. I am feeling better. No pain meds today so far. I was able to plant almost all the little guys waiting to get in the ground. I think I can finish tomorrow. I pulled up one of last year's cabbage with hundreds of pure yellow flowers and gave it to the chickens to have fun with.

Okay, some stubborn malware has fracked my ability to Google anything, so I turn to my friendly neighborhood hive-mind.

What can cause one to experience all the physiological symptoms of anxiety (rapid, shallow breathing, head "buzz", minor tremors, irritability, etc), while not actually being anxious about anything? If I had a specific incident causing me anxiety, I could deal with it logically - but it's hard to reason away an emotional state with no apparent cause.

That has happened to me too. what I found to cause it: 1. low blood sugar (often, I don't feel hungry when I am)
2.caffeine in excess (started when I past um, 40 something) 3.lack of sleep or interrupted sleep, 4. fighting off a virus while not actually being ill.

Those are generally panic attacks. I used to get them at midnight in my bed once a month, exactly ten days before menses. Menopause took care of that, but I don't think that's an option for you.

I'm sharing the dark chocolate muffins I made this morning for breakfast.
Coconut oil instead of butter, a few bittersweet chocolate chips, almond flour and cocoa powder instead of wheat, and they're actually good.
 Now and then Saturdays are splurge days.

Hi, mntn13! Do you ever use Pamela's Bake mixes? They are gluten free and delicious. I buy it by the case on Amazon, especially the pancake mix. It can be used to make coffee cake, pancakes of course, and things like banana bread and scones.

:D Hi I've not used them, though seen the already made cookies & such at the store. Does the mix have a not too sweet taste?
It'd be good to have a convenient mix. Often I'm tempted by goodies made with wheat but it really upsets my system.

No, the mix is not too sweet. When we make pancakes with it, it is the perfect amount of sweetness. For preparing other things with it, you must add sugar or honey. We like sucanat instead of white sugar. And I get tempted by goodies made of wheat too, and usually hate how I feel after consuming them. This mix makes awesome cookies, too. She has a website with all sorts of recipes and it tells which mix to buy for making them.

 Cool, I'll check that out. Thanks. Wish I had known a long time ago that wheat was the culprit for my 'dis-comfort'.
