I've never used youtube to learn social skills before. I learned by placing myself into social situations withOUT the aid of any technology. I've actually failed to learn any type of social skills from the internet. I say that going out and trying multiple times to be social is the most effective way (in my opinion anyway).

I learned through my many mistakes. It's worth a minute or two of humiliation to not be humiliated in the future.

I use to learn social skills by endless asking my mother and friends for details of normal social interactions.

For me it's really just a combination of trial and error. I try something out, if it works, I use it again, if not, I try something else. But I don't socialise a lot so my conversation skills are not exactly what you'd call honed. Small talk is definitely the worst, I can never seem to keep the ball rolling.

That's how I learned most of mine too.

The best way to develop social skills is through practice. You must be brave and voluntarily put yourself in social situations in order to learn.
