OK, let me think:
- Photography: mainly street photography and that of streetscapes and things in daily life, as well as documenting my travels and other events. My camera is a Panasonic DMC-FZ38, a superzoom
- Politics: this is split into three areas of interest: classical liberalism as well as anti-EU (especially party political) and the rise of right-wing populism and national conservatism in Europe
- The Swiss national conservative party SVP's provocative poster campaigns: I think the agency that produces them is very talented and that it's a beacon for other nationalist parties in the EU to follow
- Travel: I regularly travel both within the UK and further afield and not always inside the EU - I've been to about 15 different countries so far and this is rising
- The Internet: I love browsing to people, talking with them and learning new and interesting things
- Beer: I have tried many different beers in my life, in a variety of styles - so many that I, in fact, cannot truly decide what is my favourite, although my favourite beer styles are IPAs and black, roasted, espresso-style stouts
- The British Empire and Britain's fourteen remaining overseas territories: I have only visited one - Gibraltar, located in Southern Europe - but I wish to visit many more
- Food: I love many different styles of food, from many different national cuisines as well as much of my own national cuisine in particular - my many, many pfood photos can be seen on my Flickr photostream
- The United Kingdom and Unionism: I am a believer in the ideology of Unionism in the UK, that we should remain a united, unitary state and not split up into our component parts. Which leads to my interest in...
- Northern Ireland and, more specifically, the history and culture of Ulster Unionism: I visit NI on a semi-regular bases. I have a big interest in Unionist and Orange history and enjoy travelling around the Province whenever I am there. I also have a fondness for Ulster-Scots folk music and attend Orange and marching band parades when I can. I have quite a number of Northern Irish and Scottish Protestant marching band CDs but would like to add to them
- Italian and Hong Kong films: I have had an intermittent fondness for Italian films since I was before I was a teenager. It used to be the films created during the horror boom in the Italy of the late 1970s and the early 1980s, then it was spaghetti westerns and, latterly, it has been poliziotteschi (i.e. Italian police/crime films) from the 1970s. The interest isn't as strong as it used to be though. I used to be very, very strongly into Hong Kong films as a teenager as well, often staying up throughout the night to watch my cheapo purchases from Hong Kong DVD suppliers - the DVD releases were very cheap at the time compared to UK DVDs and I got to see movies that I would never otherwise have bothered to see. I did see some right stinkers though
- Film censorship: I used to have a massive obsession with UK film censorship as a teen, because our censorship board (the BBFC) were censoring many of my favourite films! Fortunately, these films were just about being released abroad, so I could watch them all uncut and free of any censor edits! I saw some fantastic films this way as well as some pretty nasty muck too
I think that's most things I can think of. |

My past interests;
The moon; I was totally facinated by the universe and had those very deep thoughts and questions nobody could answer, the moon was something I dreamed to fly to when I was younger.
Poetry; I wrote poems at least once a day about my thoughts, fears, daddy-issues and other stuff, since I stutter, my voice got through the poems.
Lining up toys; Yeah, pretty normal I guess, but I didn't just line them up, I counted them without anyone really understanding HOW I learned to do that since I started that way before I started first grade.
My current interests;
Supernatural The TV show: I can every little detail of each and every scene and episode and season. I can talk about it for hours, to both those who likes it and those who doesn't. And I clearly don't see when they get bored, because they don't tell me so I just go on and on about it.
Writing fanfiction; That's another way to get my voice heard. I can write for hours at a time and when I do, I don't leave the computer once, not even for a pee-pause XD
English; I'm from Sweden, I wasn't interested at all in English in school when I had the class so I skipped the class a lot/the teachers threw me out of the classroom rather and then when I got interested, I had to learn on my own. Now I can't stop, it's like English is my native language and I even forget Swedish sometimes but remember the exact word on English.
Music Simple saying; I can't survive one day without music. It's my drug. |

Radio control models
Off road motor sports
Most of my shorter term interests are variations on the above though recently I have been very interested in autism and Asperger's. _________________ I stopped fighting my inner demons. We're on the same side now. |

I find anything I know little about interesting, but if I had to list things I really got interested in :
Past special interests:
Black Magic, Voodoo, Witchcraft, Tarot, Demons, Alchemy (Pretty sure there's a collective term, but it's slipped my mind)
Peoples Beliefs - Found it fascinating how people can believe and have so much faith about different things in a religious/ spiritual sense.
James Bond films - This was my little brothers fault, I learnt a bit so he had someone to talk to about it because it drove the rest of my family bonkers, but got really interested in it myself.
Star Wars - Not so much the films but the universe.
Bugs and creepy crawlies - My sister hated it !! I was obsessed with how they moved, lived and the diversity especially in slugs, snails, butterflies, moths and caterpillars but spiders are my favourite.
Making music - Using software mainly tho I played fife, french horn, piccalo, violin and a little drums and guitar.
Programming - Got into this doing visual basic on a Amstrad 464 which I enjoyed, then did a little HTML and looked into C++ but people disowned me in school because I wouldn't shut up about it which really put me off :'(
Explosives - Found a cookbook at a friends uncles house, nearly died twice so decided this was not a good thing to be interested in any more.
There's actually LOADS now I think about it but that's a few.
Currently (and things I never lost interest in):
Anything creative that keeps my hands busy origami, crochet, knitting, model making etc.
Music - Pretty varied but mostly avant-garde/ experimental rock, and electronic music (Industrial,Dubstep,Jungle etc)
Minecraft - It's my way of working on my team building skills, and allows me to quench my craving for adventure some what.
Lego
Drawing - Although it also drives me crazy because i'm to much of a perfectionist.
Tattooing and its History - It's awesome when people think you're good enough at drawing they want a permanent piece of your work, I find the history of it really interesting tho.
Baking/cooking - Mainly sweet things like cake, cookies and brownies.
Console gaming - Retro to today
Rockband/ Guitar Hero - Guitar strings became to expensive (Heavy handed) which lead me to this
Exercise/fitness

Beautiful faces/young girls (not in a playboy way, artistic sense. see avatar)
Mecha (shows like Gundam, Evangelion)
Military aviation (50 to 80s is the golden age in my opinion)
Shoegaze music
Ambient music
Cats
The Occult (black and lower magick, never tried it but love reading about)
old kaiju movies (Godzilla, Gamera etc)
Cryptozoology
Hoodies
Clothes
Prehistoric sea animals
Cats
My appearance and losing weight
Video games (though not as much anymore, mainly Dark Souls or single player rpgs, excited for Diablo 3 and Guild wars 2 though)
I have had an eating disorder on and off. I'm not fat but want to be skinny, skinny, skinny!! I hate for
others to even see me. For a male skinny is the only way, I HATE muscles.
Making friends! Before I started posting here ,seeing a doctor and getting help with meds I was so shut in. All I could do was hate myself but now I just want attention and friends. I'm so glad this
site exists. I've posted on places like SA for years but everyone is mocking unless you're "cool" and hip and it made me hate myself more. I also shedded a long time friend two days ago who was really pulling me down. I feel very euphoric and the idea of making new friends starting here excites me.
Hobbies I want to get into very badly once I have the funds:
Tabletop gaming
painting
Drawing (good)
Learning how to play the piano
Past interests (that I still have):
Dinosaurs
Also my book I'm kind of working on, but I'm currently reading through scifi now and trying to get ideas from literature. Its inspired
by my love of cats, mecha shows I love and my feelings about religion. On the planet of the book the main races are two very human
races and the dominant race that look like bipedal house cats (not furries).
