Self-diagnosed. Saw my share of shrinks back in the 1970s when I was a kid. Solitary, intense. Some top percentile for music recognition. Primarily a writer of (what I call) word noises; no prizes for that. Vocab building never a bonus in life. Never could stop. Cannot retain numbers. Cannot drive or bike. Will not tolerate phones. Hands act "independently." Social miscues, always. Hard life w/ moments of exceptional beauty, hard won. Transgender in crisis. Lost marriages, homes, children. Now I live on a commune. Nocturnal to avoid the hippies but enjoy my work, making hammocks daily. Interesting here. The name is Craig. _________________ ASQ: 45. RAADS-R: 229.

Nice to have you here Craig, we have our share of self-diagnosed and doctor diagnosed here and we're all like a family sort of..well kind of. I hope you like it here. I like to write too! I have the bike problem and am a very bad driver to the point where I cannot go out into big places, like the freeway.
Your problems sound really serious, far beyond what most self-diagnosed say. Have you tried seeing the doctor and getting something official? You may be able to get some kind of aid because it sounds like your problems would prevent you from work and other things. I'm very sorry and feel for you, friend. I am nocturnal too whenever I go out to do things.
I'm slightly confused, you mention "commune", could you describe that more? I'm from North America. |
