Often when I am writing a post on WP, a random tab keeps popping up, it is always blank and at the bottom there's a button which says ''allow blocked content'', which I do not intend to push because otherwise pop-ups would be happening all the time, probably. I don't know what the blocked pop-up is, it doesn't say, it just says a bunch of slashes and numbers in the title of the tab at the top of the page. It is really annoying. Does Anyone else get this? Is there a way to stop it altogether?

I'm not using IE, but try this:
From IE menu, select 'Internet Options' > then go to 'Privacy' tab > Check "Turn on Pop-up Blocker" > Settings > at the 'Blocking level' option, select "High: Block All Pop-ups", press "Close" and Ok
