Foods I noticed made me buzzy:

Chili Con Carne
Any super hot, hot sauce or salsa
berry/yogurt/milk/banana/ginger smoothie
cooked brussel sprouts
Various spicey and vegetable filled soups
Oysters

Will Add more later...

What healthy foods give you a buzz?

I went to a vegan potluck once upon a time, and ate lots of raw, organic food- sprouts, and things.
I felt like I was on drugs. Shocked

I have a green smoothie for breakfast every day, it's a few handfuls of spinach, a chopped frozen banana, a blob of peanut butter and enough almond milk to get it to the texture you like. I feel noticeably sluggish and my skin gets bad if I go a few days without. It's also super tummy, just tastes like bananas and peanut butter!

None of them make me happy or energetic. Porridge? Lol!! I can't think of anything much more boring, apart from tofu.

What foods make you feel buzzed? I agree, porridge, ewww! To each their own though... I actually tried Intravenus's recipe recently and it was good, helped me relax a little and it cooled me off.

So just one meal made entirely of raw vegan food gives some people a slight high? Or am I taking this all far too literally?

Not all vegan food no... But a well prepared, healthy, and delicious meal... Very likely to give one a nice buzz, literally.

That was my experience, yes.

Worth mentioning that the restaurant in question ("RAW" in San Francisco, it closed years ago) used a lot of strong flavors and unusual preparations. It wasn't just carrot and celery sticks on a plate. Wink For example they had a drink called BLOOD that was juiced beets, apples, and ginger. Lots of antioxidants in that one!

Wow...that sounds pretty amazing. Are there any restaurants in the UK that do anything similar? Or should I just eat raw organic food? I'm still in disbelief that it can give you a buzz, but if you say so..
