I spent a lot of time(used to) researching north Korea, and my oh my a couple of weeks ago I dreamt that I went there on a three month study trip! The teacher knew Chinese and gave us all a very difficult biology quiz. she was kind - and said that she hated the kims.
Today, last night I dreamt of exactly the same thing. I went to Saudi arabia though.and I didn't take a test. The teacher was singing some Islam song which sounded very nice.

There was a new tram going around school, and I wanted to go on it but it wasn't my turn. Bt somehow I ended up on it anyway, then couldn't get off in case I got in trouble, and I didn't know how to get back. And then I was in the maths building, being told by my teacher (Who was the one I had in year 8, not year 10) that my level was 3y, which isn't even a level in real life, but I was disappointed because it was a low one. Then I was in my room at my dad's house, and 2 of the posters of people that I put up kept on changing each day. And I was in this sort of shop, but I could only be on one side of it, on the other side, I would be told to go back to the first side. Then I was on a tram again, and my sister couldn't get in, she held onto the door on the outside as the tram was moving, and then fell off, and I screamed at the driver telling him to stop. Then when he did, I must have jumped out the tram because I saw it slowing down as it stopped. Luckily, my sister had found her way to where I was and was alright. _________________ I don't know what I want, but I know what I don't want. |

YES! I THOUGHT THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! I watched yet another documentary on North Korea yesterday and lost several hours of sleep.
And I even doodled a picture of South Korea and North Korea too! I had to use someone's North Korea OC though, since Axis Powers Hetalia doesn't have an official North Korea character yet. South Korea isn't even in the anime because some officials from South Korea said that the way South Korea was portrayed is too offensive.
It would be great if they made an official North Korea character. _________________ "Magic is any sufficiently advanced technology." - Arthur C. Clarke

I had the weirdest dreams this last night. I posted a little bit about it on facebook, but thought I would share it here also.
It started off, as I remember, with me as a child again in elementary school, except I didn't recognize the teacher or students. We were reading The Wind in the Willows, and I complained, "But I know this story already," so I turned in an old copy of the homework assignment. Except the book was different because the author's name was a different one in Arabic and in the middle of it was information on a murder in Australia.
So then I was an adult again, and some friends and I were on a farm where we had brought the farmer a mythical creature (I think it was a griffin), and we met a kitten.
Then this guy and girl I know and myself got a house together, and kitten came to live with us, except now she was older. We named the cat after my deceased cat, who coincidentally had the same name as a female friend of mine. Then the cat turned into a little girl who appeared about 3 or 4 years old and slightly resembled a woman I have a crush on.
The little girl asked me to explain God to her and told me that someone had said, "He's the big guy in the sky," so she thought God was the giant from Jack in the Beanstalk. I was trying to think of an explanation when she started choking, which scared me, so I opened her mouth and pulled out a map.
I don't know what any of that was supposed to mean |

i had a weird one this time, where i was in this mansion that was full of kitchens of various designs including ones that had stuff hidden in living room furniture, like you push a button and out from the wall pops a range and fridge/freezer, microwave/toaster etc. in any case, in each room i wandered, and there were tables covered with plates of the most delicious foods, a lot of 'em were chocolate this and chocolate that. YUM! in the last kitchen i visited, i ran into an acquaintance from my college days that i hadn't seen in decades- he was already seated at a table waiting there for this husband/wife team of amateur chefs to finish cooking the meal to be served, and then the husband took off all of a sudden, and at that point the wife [who was a beautiful middle-aged latina lady] got REALLY amorous with ME! in a way that NEVER happens in real life! she was all over me and asking me to do things to her that were X-rated. then i awoke before anything could happen. damn.

According to listverse.com's "Top 10 amazing facts about dreams", Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream if forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone.
So remembering the oddest dream I've had will be quite a challenge. I do however remember the dream that was most influential on my life.
I wouldn't like to give too much away, as it's personal. But it was very odd and vivid. The storyline would change drastically, from being one thing to another. At the end, I was running for my life. But I always know that what I dream of is just thoughts. It was more of a thing of realization that made me react so strangely the next day. Took me about a week to understand that was only a dream. But I do have to say, my life is hugely impacted because of the dream. I sometimes wonder where my life would be if I didn't have the dream.
But I'm thankful for it, as I personally think I'm a better person. |

I dont know what it all means either.
But I love it! Almost too much striking imagery.
The last paragraph in particular strikes a chord.
A child innocently asking a question that grownups can barely answer for themselves.
But before you can answer the child chokes on an obstruction- that you fish it out of her mouth that turns out to be a map.
Could be taken as a metaphor for education. We cant give the next generation the answers- only the tools to navigate to their own conclusions.
Or maybe the child is you. Youre stopped ( "choked") by something that could be the very thing that proves to be your salvation ( a treasure map so to speak).
Interesting. |

One of my friends and his girlfriend were in the same gym class as me and after she had been out for a long time he told everyone she was dead (even though I knew it was a joke).
The dream- I went to gym class and there was a memorial with her picture and everyone was crying and then I went to the back room to change and pretend nothing was wrong but instead of pulling out my gym clothes I pulled out my suit which I wore at my grandfather;s funeral which I never wanted to wear again his picture fell out and said everyone has to go someday and burnt and I went crazy and screamed. I turned to someone in the corner and said Now there are 2 people I will never see again. We all went back into the gym and everyone was feeling better. The teacher came out and said turn those frown upside down lets do some yoga. Everyone looked at her like she was crazy and some people got upset again. Everyone walked away and went to a refreshments table on the other side of the gym. The teacher ran over and said you'll need to burn off those calories if you want to stay fit. I was in a corner smoking and she jogged over to me and said Why dont you find another use for those lungs I said ok and jogged over and threw a cigarette on her shirt and she popped like a balloon and flew around . After someone said how is that physically possible, I said I dont know how and I usually dont smoke. Its almost like this isn't real Someone else said this food is good its like a dream. And of course after the line about a dream I wake up |

Thanks. All the imagery and symbolism freaked me out. My dreams aren't usually like that. Well, they're usually long and trippy, and I remember them way more than the average person does for some reason, but they just aren't like that per se. More often nightmares. |

my last dream was a bad one. i dreamt i was in a dark place and i got a phone call and the voice said
"hello, VMSmith(they mispronounced my real name)? this is centrelink. we have some good news for you".
me: "you approved my claim?"
them: "no"
and then i started running and hiding in the dark place that was either a highschool or a uni or a city from them. i almost got caught but i could hear them talking on their walky talkies and i could jump down stairs and down balconies so i could stay ahead. i think i knew them from highschool. and i ran to a place that was brighter and there were 2 houses and one was youth group and i had to pick which. centrelink caught up to me and i ducked into one and it was the right one but it was dark and scary and a few of the regulars were there. we were waiting for help. everybody was grey. i tried asking my youth worker if she could help me but she said there was nothing she could do. there was a dead body hanging in the next room. i could see its shilhouette. |

i can remember only part of my dream, but what i still remember involves me being in some room with salmon-colored walls with rows of conjoined rectangular windows in a perimeter around the room or building i was in. the carpeting was the color of straw and it was short-nap style. there were a bunch of white rectangular tables in this room, with people sitting at each one. i was at a rectangular table by myself, and in front of me was a plate with a single small red tomato and a side of steamed and breaded asparagus spears. i tasted some of the breading of the asparagus spears and i thought it tasted a bit unpleasantly of asparagus which i never cared for in waking life. so i moved the plate aside and took notice of a young lady with a longish brunette "pageboy" haircut, wearing a white and blue dickey and dark gray slacks, with a soprano singing voice, and she was singing a depressing song about a real-life murder case recently in the news. i thought her voice was angelic, and i was enthralled by it. then when she finished, she lifted a box on the floor up onto one of the tables, and opened it. it was full of various kinds of candy bars and such, and one kind of 'em caught my eye, they were white-wrapper-covered chocolate bars that were called "space junk" - the wrappers featured a chocolate "asteroid" on the cover, and ice-blue letters in a icy-looking font spelled out "SPACE JUNK." then some lady sat at my table just to the left of me, and promptly devoured the food i set aside. she then expressed interest in a space junk candy bar, and i joked with her that if she ate too many of those, her "junk would take up a lot more space." she was not amused at my attempt at dream humor. then i awoke. |
