The ratings may not be that accurate. Also I only added the films from the 51 disney animated features. I left out the ones inbetween Bambi and Cinderella because I've never really properly seen them. Also the ones that have ? implie that I've never seen them. |

The Lion King was awsome, but I would have rated it a 9 and Beauty and the Beast a 10.
I saw The Great Mouse detective, I would rate it a 7. Very good but quite underrated movie.
Also saw the first Fantasia, would rate it an 7 for the music and animation, but gets boring sometimes.
-But that's just MY opinion. I'm no licensed movie critic.
I also haven't watched any new Disney movies in a long time. Mulan was the last one. In fact, I have some weird uncomfortable phobic thing about watching any kinds of movies, I don't know why exactly. Maybe it's because to really watch them I have to sit and give them my undivided attention for at least 90 minutes. Can't do anything else but watch. No doodling in my drawing pad, no playing my Nintendo DS, no listening to it while on the computer or in the kitchen making a meal. That's the best way I can explain it. |

| Wow, I'm kind of surprised. I think that these are the scores that Doug Walker would give to most of these movies. |

I can never watch Pocahontas again knowing how much Disney got wrong.
I've been to the part of Virginia where the movie's set. There are no cliffs there! Where the hell did Disney get the idea that eastern Virginia has cliffs? It's all flat land!
Pocahontas was between 10 and 13 when she met John Smith, which makes a romantic relationship between the two very unlikely at best. Her dad had over 50 wives and who knows how many children by them. John Smith was no Mel Gibson lookalike--the historical records state he was a pudgy, unattractive ginger with a beard. When Smith did go back to England, it was due to an injury sustained from a gunpowder explosion. About the only thing they got right was Pocahontas saving Smith from having his head bashed in, and even then scholars agree that was merely the enactment of a ritual and Smith wasn't in any real danger.
And let's not forget the harsh winter of 1609-10, where the Jamestown colonists starved so badly that they had to resort to cannibalism just to survive. Disney conveniently glossed over that little gem. |

| You seem to have a bias towards the films released in the 90s perhaps because of your age. Anyway "The Jungle Book" deserves a higher rating then a 7 IMO. |

I was taking the ratings from a guy named Spoilch from thatguywiththeglasses.com. If I remember 6 means liked it and 8 means loved it and 7 basically half and half. But as I've said before the ratings may not be that accurate and I may end up doing them again. Also I haven't seen The Jungle Book for a long time so I don't even know if I really love it that much but I'm pretty sure I do. If it gets released on Blu Ray I'm there. |

| Fantasia(1940) and Aladdin are easily my favorite Disney movies, Beauty and The Beast was good too and it was the first movie I saw in a real theater. I can't really rate the movies though. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs deserves at least a 8 or 9 for how of a historical hallmark and achievement it was for animation and Disney. Yes, I think factors like this should be taken into account when reviewing movies. |
